I don't like the idea of verifying a wallet with KYC process in a browser made for privacy. Nevertheless, I took the step to verify the Uphold wallet and connect my 3 Brave browsers. In 8 months, 56.25 BAT have been accumulated. To send them would cost 6.8 BAT network fees at the moment, about 12.1%. I think I'll wait a while longer...

I HATE the uphold wallet for Brave browser. It is stupid. That being said it is one of the very few (2) things I have done KYC for.
Exactly. Could not be that hard to implement a direct withdrawal. It's the complete opposite of the idea of Brave. But as there is no other possibility to get our hands on that BAT...
yeah it's annoying. The only other way around it is to use your BAT to "tip" people so you could like get all your friends together and everyone tip 1 guy who lives out in a weird country and then once he cashes out he sends you all the BAT you sent him. But that is just way to much work. Brave said they were going to get another wallet option at some point. And I get why they do KYC so that they can play by the US rules and what not but it's annoying.
