Back at work after a two week Covid break and I have to say it's bloody exhausting. Not the work, the life itself. Every step, every move sucks. There really are more pleasant illnesses.

♫ Every breath you take, and every move you make Every bond you break, every step you take Man they really suck ♫
I hear you singing and it made me smile a little.
This virus consumes an impressive amount of energy, causes a lot of anxiety and the truth wears a lot. I have had to overcome it 3 times in the last 16 months. To take care of yourself so you don't have to go through something so unpleasant again.
3 times? So no real hope for immunity. Hard to take care, work in the health sector and have a child in school. But at least I avoided it for 3 years.
I managed to avoid it for a year, and I had all my vaccinations up to date when I got infected, so there is no guarantee. When I go out I avoid contact with other people as much as possible, and when I have to, I take extreme precautions, but even so, it wasn't enough, and I'm not someone who gets sick easily. Take care brother!
To be honest, I'm not sad to have had a "real" infection after the vaccinations. Good combination for the immune system. But I thought it will not be that hard after vaccination. And I don't want to know how it was without.
Ohh..take care!
Time will make it better. At least I hope so.
I sort of have an opposite covid story As did not get vaccinated was required to catch covid every 3 months so I could get vaccination exemption from the Australian Immunisation Register, just so I could work in the mining industry. If it wasn’t for the positive RAT, it was hard to know if one had covid or not. Catching it was easy enough though, just needed some one who had tested positive, stick swab up your nose and bingo. Worked every time. Flu has never really affected me since I started looking after myself. When I first started working here (2008) got sick. Couldn’t fly to work, cost me over $5000 in lost wages, no sick leave or annual leave to fall back on. Never again. Off all the stuff I take I swear by raw garlic and vit c powder are the key.
For me this sounds pretty freaky, but if it brought you over the pandemic, why not...
Es tut mir so leid, bitte pass auf Dich auf und gute Besserung!
Danke dir. Es wird schon langsam besser.
