I am weak. Due to the extreme gas prices, I had planned not to heat for as long as possible. But thanks to my vaccination yesterday and its, admittedly mild, side effects, I am so cold today that it has to be. So I treat myself to 4 hours of warmth in one room and hope that tomorrow it won't be necessary. And yet I would be interested to know how much the 4 hours cost. The alternative would be a nice campfire, but I'm sure the landlord would disapprove. So I'll wait with it until the next winter solstice.

I am so dreading the winter gas bills.
Me too. This will get the rent here much more expensive in the long run. If the boss doesn't compensate for that, it's going to get very difficult very quickly. Can you also heat with wood?
Nope, I only have a natural gas furnace. But at least the cats don't mess with the thermostat setting so I can keep it lower than most people would.
Oh shit. Yes, it's the same here, central heating in the house with gas. It wasn't fun in the last few years, but this time it's going to be tough.
Same... I hope for the best.
I hope you feel well soon. A good idea is to do some exercise to warm up, I hope you are in a position to do it friend.
Sure, these are only short side effects, should be over tomorrow. I'm not sporty, and certainly not today. Good idea, but not for me...
How about Thermacare...just a chemical reaction and nice and warm - but also nice and expensive...but maybe there's a discount?
This should be similar in price to an electric heater. ^^ 10 hours for 6€. I'm still waiting for the discount, which I read will come in December.
Hope you’re nice and warm today. I turn my heating on for a few hours every day, unless it’s a warmer day
I've been refusing to do this for years, but today it has to be done. Yes, it is very pleasant but I can hear the coin counter in the background.
I am so happy to use wood only 🙏🙏 When my twin sister bought a house last year, in the nearest village, the first i wanted her to buy was a wood stove like mine, it's a central heating and cooks the food at the same time It's even cheaper for me cz husband brings lots and lots of wood from the construction sites, for free I know you're trying to keep your bill down, but you also need to feel comfortable in the winter ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I do the same.. Nearly no heating at home, just the bathroom because there is no window and everything would not dry out after a shower. But winter will come for sure.
It will and I fear it a little. But I'm glad not to heat today. The side effects are over.
