The time has come, the first blackberries are ripe. They grow wild in our backyard and no one takes care of the plants. They seem to like it very much, they grow more every year. My colleagues are always happy when I harvest a small bowl, the berries are a welcome snack for us, healthy and for free.

It looks yummy in the photo itself. I'm wondering how the birds and animals dependent on this would enjoy this. The same happens here for the Jamun fruit in our locality. That also looks pretty much similar.

yes in England too in gardens and hedgerows and along riverbanks they are a free bounty for all. They combine well with apple with a layer of crumble served with custard. ... and now i am salivating
