Very slowly, the Christmas season begins. My father bakes Stollen, a traditional cake that is eaten at Christmas time. The cake is later spread with melted butter and sprinkled with icing sugar. This symbolises the baby Jesus lying in the Christmas cot wrapped in cloths. We are not religious people, but we still like to eat Stollen. The little round one will be a birthday present for my son. That looks good, our family also cooks traditional foods during this season, as long as we celebrate Christmas with our loved ones any dish will be special.

I know Stollen but in my country the Christmas tradition is Vánočka :) I have no idea how it is called in English but it looks like this. 😃
