The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the decrees of the Lord are sure, making wise the simple; Psalms 19:7 Today's verse is one of truth and relief. Of course, all verses are, but this one especially. Consider how nice it is to have a consistent and perfect law for all ages. His law never changes, and it is never influenced by others. It is the same today as it originally was. We change. We live in a world that is consistently evolving and reconstructing ideas and values. However, even as we change, the truth is still the truth. The law is still the law. That is something that we should rejoice over and give thanks.
