“And the God of all grace, who called you unto his eternal glory in Christ, after that ye have suffered a little while, shall himself perfect, stablish, strengthen you.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭10‬ ‭RV1895‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/1922/1pe.5.10.RV1895 Today’s verse is a wonderful one because it hits on a fundamental truth about how we change. For me, most of the changes made to me personally have been made through suffering. If i hadn’t have gone through this tough times, i would be a very different person. I guess this is because people don’t learn from good things happening to them. At least not most people. The lesson is, “nothing happened. I can do it again” even when we know that we are wrong. When we suffer, weather we deserve it or not, it opens our eyes and we grow up a little. When we suffer something tragic, it can change us a lot. We might have more to overcome than just the suffering. Sometimes, suffering can be a full meal deal. Our whole life changes. Other times suffering can be term. Whatever kind of suffering i have suffered, in retrospect, i see it as a gift and a great teacher. I’m thankful that i have suffered. It has given me character and helped me grow. Of course, no one likes to go through it. But i think we should learn from it, pray about it, and know that our Lord loves us, had a plan for us, and will strengthen us. Don’t give up. *image from YouVersion
