“Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭RSV‬‬ https://bible.com/bible/2020/rom.12.2.RSV Today’s verse is one that reminds me of the comforts offered by this world and just how addictive they can be. The world can be overwhelming with problems, pressure, pleasures, and everything else. It’s easy to fall into the habit of letting it for the way we think and live our lives. We live in a society where media glamorizes negative thinking and problems. However, this isn’t all true. A lot if it are distractions created to confound us or just to make profit. It’s nothing. Like Ecclesiastics says- it’s just vapor.. smoke…nothing. This verse reminds us the importance that we need to refresh our renew our minds. We need to keep our eye on what’s important. That’s the Lord.
