Giving the Cuban Vegueros another try. Vegueros are one of the more accessibly priced (read: cheaper, lol) Cuban cigars which I sampled a few months ago. I found them invariably tight and an unenjoyable smoke. Just because it's "Cuban" doesn't automatically make it good! This one is still tight but definitely less so. The flavour actually more than makes up for it. Might be buying more of these if they're usually this way! Very pleasant, medium strength flavour with notes of cedar, leather and cinnamon. #Cigars

Montecristo is the most famous and perhaps the most appreciated of all Habanos brands. Montecristo could be considered the benchmark by which all other Habanos are measured. Its name originates from the novel The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. The tobacco shop reader used to read the novel to the Torcedores at the H.Upmann factory in Havana, where the brand was founded in 1935. Such was the acceptance that it was decided to name the new brand after the protagonist of the novel.
