NBA Top Shot NFT - 2020 NBA Finals Challenge & The Finals Challenge In a previous post about NBA Top Shot, I documented how I tried to buy 2020 NBA Finals (Legendary) Moments and The Finals (Rare) Moments for my NFT collection. The goal is for an individual to collect one of each of a group of Moments and to hold on to them until the challenge timer runs out. After completing the challenge, you will receive a special Moment in return. In Table 1 above, I want to focus on some of the information only. The rest will be discussed in a future post. Edition size (79): Only 79 of each player's Moment in this series were minted Max Sets LA (14): Based on the number of Moments available in the Marketplace at time of writing, only 14 complete sets of just the LA Lakers players can be collected for this series. Max Sets MIA (17): Based on the number of Moments available in the Marketplace at time of writing, only 17 complete sets of just the Miami Heat players can be collected for this series. Max Sets LA+MIA (14): Based on the number of Moments available in the Marketplace at time of writing, only 14 complete sets of this entire series can be collected. Total ($4,759.00): Combined asking value for the entire 2020 NBA Finals collection (excludes transaction fees, etc.) The Finals (Rare) series If your budget is more modest, individuals can try to complete The Finals challenge by buying all 9 Moments in that series, which ends in just under 48 hours (at time of writing). The information in Table 2 is slightly different for this series, but the definitions have not changed. I wanted to point out that the total asking value for the entire The Finals collection (excluding transaction fees, etc.) is $258.00. Interesting idea the devs had for incentivising the collection of the moments. What will you be doing? Are you trying to complete any of the sets? Or are you using the opportunity to sell some NFTs? Or are you continuing to hold?
their Rookie Debut challenge (now finished) was interesting since the Moment for the league's most popular rookie was the reward for completing that set. there was no way to buy it initially, and the lowest ask for that Moment now is $579 now that collectors have put some on the Marketplace. the Rookie challenge was probably profitable for collectors who completed that set. it was a tough decision, but i decided to complete the Finals set. it is a risk, but i have some spare cash. i don't have enough to complete the 2020 Finals (Legendary) set...Lol will be tracking prices to see how the market reacts.

i'm tracking prices to determine demand...will see how the market reacts. even though it's open the the public, it's probably considered a soft opening, since it is still labelled as "Beta" on the website.
