In a previous post about NBA Top Shot, I documented how I tried to buy 2020 NBA Finals (Legendary) Moments and The Finals (Rare) Moments for my NFT collection. The devs have added some incentive to complete your sets by running separate challenges for the 2020 NBA Finals series, and for The Finals series.
How do you complete a challenge in NBA Top Shot? The goal is for an individual to collect one of each of a group of Moments and to hold on to them until the challenge timer runs out. After completing the challenge, you will receive a special Moment in return. These Challenge-awarded Moments will never be available in packs and are intended to be more scarce than the other Moments in the same set.
Because all packs of Moments containing 2020 NBA Finals (Legendary) Moments or The Finals (Rare) Moments are sold out, the only way to complete either challenge now is to buy each Moment individually from the Marketplace on NBA Top Shot.

2020 NBA Finals (Legendary) series
To complete this challenge, an individual will need to buy all 9 Moments in this series in the next 24 hours (at time of writing). In doing so, the devs would award a 2020 NBA Finals (Legendary) Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Moment to the collection.
In Table 1 above, I want to focus on some of the information only. The rest will be discussed in a future post.
Edition size (79): Only 79 of each player's Moment in this series were minted
Max Sets LA (14): Based on the number of Moments available in the Marketplace at time of writing, only 14 complete sets of just the LA Lakers players can be collected for this series.
Max Sets MIA (17): Based on the number of Moments available in the Marketplace at time of writing, only 17 complete sets of just the Miami Heat players can be collected for this series.
Max Sets LA+MIA (14): Based on the number of Moments available in the Marketplace at time of writing, only 14 complete sets of this entire series can be collected.
Total ($4,759.00): Combined asking value for the entire 2020 NBA Finals collection (excludes transaction fees, etc.)
The Finals (Rare) series
If your budget is more modest, individuals can try to complete The Finals challenge by buying all 9 Moments in that series, which ends in just under 48 hours (at time of writing). After successfully completing this challenge, the devs would award a Rare Jimmy Butler Moment to the collection.
The information in Table 2 is slightly different for this series, but the definitions have not changed. I wanted to point out that the total asking value for the entire The Finals collection (excluding transaction fees, etc.) is $258.00. This is much more affordable compared to the 2020 NBA Finals (Legendary) series!
