Is anyone using Helium Hotspot here? How many GB of data do you get or use per month and for how much? Trying to compare the data cost to traditional wireless internet service solutions available here. #crypto #cryptocurrency.

I don't think you 'get' data as such - it isn't a replacement for wireless internet. The hotspot provides wireless network coverage but only for internet-of-things devices on the Helium network. And you get paid in HNT for running it, you don't pay to use it.
ah, I see. So you mean it doesn't provide internet access in any way? What's the use then? What I'm I using it for and why I'm I being paid to use it? (in real life scenario). Do you have their HotSpot device?
All the hotspots together create a network for physical devices to send data. Devices like these: https://docs.helium.com/use-the-network/devices/ready-to-use/ So you're not using the network, you're just helping to create it for other people's (companies') benefit. That's why you get rewarded in crypto. I have their device after doing all the reading on it, but never got round to setting up...
https://docs.helium.com/ here is everything you need to know. At the time of writing this entry, the net is collapsed due to huge amount of hotspots.
