the word “scam” gets thrown around willy nilly chances are bought at top, patience will determine if it was shitcoin, investment or a scam

If it's still worth something, and accessible, then it was not a scam. A bad investment, or even a pump-and-dump perhaps, but in a scam criminals take your money and run.
