Where $Ethereum will beat all other smart contract platforms, hands down despite their superior tech, is by its first mover advantage and rock-solid network effect. Further the Ethereum community has some of the brightest minds who are constantly innovating and evolving. Making catching up and overtaking even more difficult. It's going to be very hard for any other chain to "displace" Ethereum as the first smart contract platform of choice.
