Mina and Storm relaxing after a "ruff day". Most of the time, each picks a different human to relax on when we're watching TV, but tonight both of them climbed on my lap, so the wife snapped a quick picture. Love these two... #ILoveMyPet #dogs #puppies

Enjoy By IPA 10.31.2022 (Stone Brewing Co.) Imperial/Double IPA, 9.4% ABV Like the rest of the Enjoy By series, you get a big hit of hops aroma when you open it. Although it calls itself a hazy IPA, the flavor is more pine than citrus, with a hint of bitterness at the end. Grab it while you can! Final rating: 7.5/10

Poor Mina has been unhappy for the last week. It was Independence Day on Monday, and people have been shooting off fireworks for the past week. She is scared to death of them and has spent most of her time hiding. ☹

Double Chocolate Snake Cake (West Sixth Brewing Co.) Imperial/Double Stout, 13% ABV Visited the local brewpub and tried a ten-ounce pour of this monster. Was expecting it to be almost sickeningly sweet, but the beer was nicely balanced. Strong cocoa flavor and the high alcohol content neutralized the sugar, making this an awesome beverage. Here are another few pictures of my dog Storm. This time, she is playing with her favorite outdoor toy -- THE STICK! It's funny how we can throw her balls and other toys outside, but she eventually will come back with a stick. I wish she could have told us this before we spent money on the toys.

This is my older dog, Mina. She is a six-year old, 15 pound (7 kg), miniature poodle/Shih Tzu/chihuahua (50%/25%/25%) mix. Although we groom her more like a terrier than the other breeds, she has long wiry hair if left unkempt. She is one of the most lovable dogs I've ever owned, although her mild temperament also means she gets easily scared of loud noises (e.g. fireworks or thunder). #pets #dog #puppy

ARROGANT BASTARD ALE (Arrogant Consortia, a subsidiary of Stone Brewing Co.) American Strong Ale, 7.2% ABV, 100 IBU One of my favorite beers of all time, Arrogant Bastard is a hop-forward, semi-dark ale. Even though it has a lot of complexity, once you get past that first few sips, it actually becomes fairly easy to drink. It is pretty hoppy, so if those typically aren't to your liking, you may want to avoid this, but I love it. FINAL RATING: 9.5/10 #beer #beerlovers…

THINK PIECE (Toppling Goliath/Untitled Art collab) Hazy DIPA, 7.8% ABV My wife bought this for me as a birthday gift. It is a thicker, richer version of a hazy IPA. This is my youngest dog, Storm. She is a two year-old, 25-pound (11.3 kg) purebred mutt. 😆 On the days I work from home, she has this trick she likes to pull. Whenever I get on a conference call, she decides it's time to bring me a toy so we can play fetch and/or tug. Here she is with her stuffed snake asking, "What are you waiting for, daddy? TAPESTRY OF OBSCENITY (Bad Dad Brewing Co.) Hazy IPA, 6.3% ABV Ventured up to Indianapolis the previous weekend and saw this at a local liquor store (Big Red Liquors). Was hoping for a somewhat aggressive hop bite, given the name. However, it's a fairly mellow representation of the style. Definitely solid, but doesn't really stand out among other beers of its ilk.
