LDR: The Story of Us

This is a story about how I meet my Boyfriend in Anonymous Chat, Profoundly.

Now before I should start telling our story, I would like to tell everyone reading this, that I get this idea of writing this Article because of @Eirolfeam2 Article titled “My Dating App Love Story” The Article appears in my notification and and as soon as I saw it , I immediately clicked it and read it. Because of that I was inspired to share mine as well.

To be honest, I have no idea what profoundly is, not until my friend told me about it and told me to try using it, and so I did. My intention there was to talk to strangers and meet people who has the same interest as me, because I enjoyed talking to strangers for some reason, plus I am a huge fan or Pop-Punk music, bands and more and I was only there because I’m basically a FANGIRL looking for someone to talk with the same taste of music as me.

Lemme clear something, I have no intention nor has interest in dating anyone before, I talk to a lot of guys but I just don’t have any interest in them, well not until I meet him 🙂

Anyways, let’s proceed...

Okay, so I downloaded the app and started to use it. I connected it to my second facebook account, since I don’t really wanna connect it to my official account, especially when it comes to something like that , such talking to strangers. Y’know? That stuffs.

I still remember I created my account in the afternoon of Jan. 07, 2020. My first post there was...

Yeah, It’s still here, I send every screenshot of it to my friend in messenger 😂

A lot of guys replied to my post, I responded but I’m really not interested talking to them because I felt bored talking to them.

Then I saw his reply , I remember he tells me “You’re a pop-punk girl, looking for a pop-punk boy?” But in Tagalog since we still don’t know that we are both Bisaya. This guy didn’t make me feel bored at all. I was comfortable talking to him. I’m from Cebu and He’s from Leyte. He’s 3 years older than me, which for me it’s not a big a deal since my objective is just to make friends and talk out of boredom.

It was just a small talk, we talk about where we came from and both of our ages, bands, and something about music. I told him that I can play guitar, turns out he also play as well.

Then I’m being proud of myself that for some reason I don’t how or why did I tell him that I have a nice voice :)

He responded, “Sample”. I don’t know why I replied “Okay, i’ll send you voice message”. He asked where am I supposed to send the voice message? I got shy maybe anxious at first but I gave my facebook name and asked him to send me a message request ‘cause I felt like I can trust him and that he is not dangerous.

As soon as I gave him my name, he send me message me on Messenger on January 7, 2020 at 10:17 PM.

I only responded to his message in the morning , probably because I fell asleep last night. Lol. I just replied an emoji of a cat laughing 😂

PS: I use his account to screenshot our first conversation because he deleted our conversation on my account before , at time when we fought. I thought I told him to delete our conversations on his account and not on mine. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I was really sad and very angry at that moment.

So, I send him a voice message of me singing Unbelievable - Why Don’t We. He give compliment, told me that I have a cool voice, that’s what he say. 😂 Well to be honest, I don’t really think so but I take it.

Now this time, it’s his turn to send his voice message. And dude! Tell you what. His voice can make you fall in love. It sound so good that I started to get attracted. Even until now, I still fall in love for his voice 😍

The trading of our voice record of us singing continues. We chatted more and talk about things even when it’s nonsense sometimes. It was really fun talking to him. I can never feel bored when he’s the one I’m talking to. I always tell myself to not fall in love with someone I only meet online. But every voice message he sent , makes me fall for more.

We chatted every single day, He start to teased me that I have a crush on him. I denied it. It was only because of his voice at first! That’s the only thing I liked about him. At first! I never thought I’ll fall in love with his personality as well.

One day, I decided to just stop our communication because I started to notice my feeling’s growing. But the more I ignored my feeling towards him, I thought it will vanished, but I was wrong! It even get worse! I started missing him and listen to his song he sent me. I keep missing him and talking to him everyday.

I decided to message him again and ask about bands for a topic, then guess what he respond? “You missed me, don’t you” I felt my cheeks getting hotter with embarrassment but eventually I admit. And I just couldn’t lie.

We keep chatting everyday , morning until night. He then ask me if he could court me when we meet in person, I said of course. “Can you wait for me” he asked. “I’m willing to wait for you” I replied.

I was laughing right now looking back, because in March 07, 2020 , I just came home from school. At exactly 9:36 PM he asked me if we can make it official. My heart beats so fast and feel the butterflies flying in my stomach. I replied , “Yes, of course” happily. That’s the time that we became official.

Now. We are Dating for 1 year and 3months turning 4months this July 7. We’re still happy and contented with each other.

We started talking in Jan 7, We became official at March 7. Lucky no. 7 right? And guess what?

“ n 3^07 !” if you flipped this, there is a word that you can clearly read. And what number is it? 3-07

MARCH 07! What a coincidence right? I think I already found my forever.
