My second relationship and how it’s affected me. It was 2018, and I had just arrived back in Georgia from being in Colorado. I’m at a loss, a wreck if I may say or stand corrected. I know that some parts of my life, I’ve had to move from, get away from and walk away from. It may not have been the best choice to make, I know that now. What was done is now done. As I started doing my job at work, I was tired one day of not having anyone to come home to. I was tired of being lonely and honestly, I needed something that I just couldn’t get easily. So as broken as I was being on a dating site was very tedious especially when you’ve not been open with anyone new in over 20yrs. It takes your life by surprise and can leave it in shambles if you don’t use what you know clearly and correctly. One day, I started getting hits on a popular site, only to find out the true intentions of some. One day as I was climbing down into the oil change pit, I worked in a major retail establishment, performing oil changes, installing tires, installing batteries was my job for 12yrs. One day climbing down into the pit, my foot slipped off the rung of the ladder, my shirt tail, became untucked, and I fell down the ladder. The Whole incident lurched me forward and then I slid down the back side of the ladder. I didn’t think anything about it until the next morning when I tried to get out of bed, I literally couldn’t even move. The company that I worked for the night before when I fell down, told me that if I went to the doctor that they would have fired me for job abandonment so no claim, no doctor. Well. Unfortunately for me, that wasn’t good, On top of being heartbroken, I had bruising all over my shoulders and back. Luckily the following days the pain started subsiding. Some days it hurt worse than others. As my personal life started getting better, I started trying to date again. I went on a few dates with women, just for them to ghost me here and there, couldn’t find anyone who could actually accept who I was and what I was looking for. Well, I ended up getting terminated from the company I worked for because as I mentioned some days were better than others. So I had money saved for a while with how long I was working and how long I was working at that company. I paid off my car note, and took me a weekend trip to go see some family members I hadn’t seen in over 5yrs, I went to Savannah. I ended up meeting a woman there, she was pretty nice, she seemed to tick the little boxes I was looking for, until I offered her to come be with me. She did do just that, but then the crazy started mellowing up, until one day out of the blue she started acting weird. So I go ghost mode on her, allowing her to stay in my house until I can get her out. I started getting hits on my dating apps again, which I had thought I was off of. One of the women became my late ex. The person who is my ex, I believe she has narcissistic personality disorder. Mind you, I am going to tell you how all this went. She was freshly divorced from Arkansas, she still lived with her ExHusband in their family house until she said she wanted to move closer to her father, which lived in the town right next to where I live. I waited for the time to be right to meet up with her. I met her one hour after she got into her father’s yard with her belongings, she was going to try to live in a camper through the 35 to 40 degree months with her 2 cats. In a camper. I took her on a date, to her favorite restaurant in Georgia, we sat out in the countryside, talking about everything. She started ticking my boxes, everything started falling into place. She seemed like a very nice lady, down on her luck with her ExHusband Cheating on her, finally I invited her to my house, my house was trashed but livable, we worked together to try to make it a home. Later in 2019, she tells me that she has some grandchildren on their way about to be born. I obliged to let her children and grandchildren come to my home for a new life. So her and I go out to Arkansas one weekend and pack up her children to bring them home. When we arrived back, chaos followed. Everything her oldest daughter did, her youngest daughter had to follow. Including having children. At this point in time my money was starting to run out. So I tell her, that her children could stay with us to pay our bills. We agreed that could suffice until she could get her a job too. Her kids brought food into the house, we had everything, so when she got her a job, I noticed that she started changing. Being withholding, being cold, her comments she made just didn’t seem right. Until one day she started complaining that I didn’t have a job. That it was imperative for me to have a job. So I went out and got a job. Still even though I was working, it wasn’t enough. Every time I went to visit my family it started to become more of a problem. At one point, I was on the phone with my nephew and she made a snide comment about it being my girlfriend. I lost it on her. She then mentioned that she started talking with her ExHusband every week. After I would go to work. I kept trying to make sure that she was not going to cheat on me, but something inside me broke. I ended up coming back from my nephews house one night because she needed some medicine to be given to her, at her job. She told her crew, in front of the entire town, that I was just the guy she was f*******. That left a sour taste in my mouth. So within the following days I packed up my car nonchalantly and took a long road trip on my days off. I turned off my phone, for those few days and I left. Somehow, her daughter called me up to apologize for how her mother talked and treated me so I began to apologize myself for the hasty response. It wasn’t just as easy as coming back home. She started telling me that she was in love with me and that I hurt her for walking away. I told her more than twice to not mistake my kindness for being weak. Well, she said, she’s not used to someone like me. I told her, look, I know that can be intimidating but try to understand that I am probably like nobody else you know. I told her that I would seek help and go back to work. So I got my job back. I did that until I got to where I didn’t have socks or undergarments because her son in laws were so nasty. She would give them mine to wear. Anyone who knows me, knows that I would never wear them again. No one in the household cared about my rules, or anything until I broke a second time. That’s when I nearly was ready to drive my car off a bridge. It was the only time I had ever cheated. I felt uncomfortable, undervalued, unloved, unwanted. With her, her sister was there, her niece and nephews and three daughters 2 of whom were married and babies were I was the only person who was working and buying diapers for the babies. Needless to say, when this relationship ended, it wasn’t because I cheated, because she took me back and I vouched that I would never do it again and I meant it. She ended making everyone leave while we went through it all together. I even proposed to her because she begged me to. Even though something still wasn’t right. She wanted to do a career change so I put her in school be a licensed insurance agent, just to prove to her that I would never do that again. By the time 2023 was rolling around I had gotten to where I can barely walk. From my back injury, started having incontinence and bowel issues. My doctor started looking into me and said that I would have to have surgery, so February 2024 was no walk in the park, She broke up with me Valentines night, I was scheduled for surgery April 15th 2024, she cheated back in March of 2024 with her ExHusband, because she was still wearing her engagement rings when she did the deed, came back to Georgia, slept with me, accidentally yelled out his name while things were happening. And a week later she left to be with him as I am still recovering from surgery after telling my family that she was there for me. When it was her oldest daughter and son in law. As they all left my house, they left behind my house they left destruction to a point where I had to sell. Lessons learned from this experience.
