The Year You Were Gone

The year you were gone the sun didn't stop rising it was as yellow as it had ever been the sky wasn't dark, it was blue it didn't shed a tear and there was no lightning. The year you were gone birds didn't stop singing and humming the rivers didn't stop flowing and the mountains didn't crumble the grasses were also evergreen. The year you were gone the earth didn't stop rotating and the planets were still on their orbits the solar system didn't collapse the world didn't experience chaos it continued like you were never here in the first place. There was nothing different nothing changed when you went but I was the only one left alone with a big hole in my heart. And I had to deal with the firsts first times without you the very first year you weren't here was the hardest thing I had to go through. Because the year you were gone Everything was in its place Everything except you.
