The search for a fiat job journey diaries pt II ! The search continues, as today's testing day didn't really happen after all! I went to do it, but due to some fears from the owner about doing a test week before being hired, she decided to not go for it. To explain a little better why was that, in my country at this period the law is very strict from what I understand about working without being immediately hired. That means that if we had to even try it, she would have to hire me immediately, before testing if we have a good co-operation. I would have gone for that if it was a full time job and something that I was confident that I could keep the job, but it would be only for 4 hours thrice a week and losing my unemployment card would also mean that I would lose my free transportation with buses and that means the wage of a week being lost on them. Also another €6 - €12 per week if rapid tests are mandatory for my presence there. I would have also gone for that even with this loss if I was sure I could keep the job, but I don't really have an expertise on it, so it came to a dead-end from both sides. But, because she liked me and wanted to help me, she gave me the number of a friend of hers that is in search for a baby-sitter for some days/ week, so I have a second job meeting later today!
