Protecting our children from the dangers of the internet In today's world, if you have children, chances are they've been on the Internet. Have you had "the talk" with your kids? No, not that one, the one about being safe online. Does your child have any social media friends on their list they don't even know? If so, they've got to go. Source https://unsplash.com/photos/bjB2mGI8PtI **Privacy settings** Does your child post things they shouldn't? Do they know those things can last forever, even if they delete them? Encourage your kids to use privacy settings and to think twice before they share anything because they never know who will see it. Do they share too much information about their name, age, or location? Some things should stay in the family. Online gaming can be one way that sketchy folks try to get private information from your kids. So, be on guard. **Use of strong passwords** Teach your kids about using strong passwords. They need a different one for every site, email address, and app they use. Use upper- and lower-case letters, numbers, and symbols with at least 10 to 12 characters. A great way to create a strong but memorable password is to use a pass phrase. Just make sure not to use famous quotes, music lyrics, or certain personal information like birthdays or addresses because those will be easy to guess. And remind your children never to share their passwords with anyone, not even their best friend. **Cyberbullying** Are your kids participating in it? Are they victims of it? Help them recognize the signs and know they can report anything to you or another trusted adult. Source https://unsplash.com/photos/2m71l9fA6mg **Get smart about smartphones** In addition to being able to access the Internet, some apps can do more than they probably should. GPS can be very helpful for finding your way around or finding your friends, but it can also allow others to find you. Tell your kids to limit these features to avoid broadcasting their location to the world. Also check out apps before you download them to make sure they won't collect and share personal information, let your kids spend real money, or do other things you wouldn't want them to. **Eliminate all sexting** That is sending, forwarding, or even saving sexually explicit photos, videos, or messages from a mobile device. Sexting can do more than risk your child's reputation and friendships; it can even be illegal. **Always make Internet security a habit** Always use security software and firewalls, even on mobile devices and keep your operating systems and apps up to date. Teach your kids about phishing, malware, insecure Wi-Fi, and how to recognize secure websites. And remember, have the Internet safety talk with your child early and often. **Conclusion** The internet is a wonderful place to explore and at the same time can be dangerous for our children. Hence it is the duty of parent to monitor their children’s online activity and educate them where necessary so they wouldn’t expose themselves to risk of sharing personal information to strangers on the internet, cyberbullying, over-dependence on the internet for validation, sharing sexual contents and lots more.

Rebuilding your self-esteem and self-confidence- a realistic approach that works! If you've ever had your spirit and your self-esteem crushed or feel like you're just struggling to get by, I have encouragement for you. You have nothing to worry about because there is a way to rebuild your self-esteem. This article will be covering four simple habits that can help you rebuild your self-esteem. **Forgive yourself Forgive yourself for past self-destructive patterns** One of the things that keeps our self-esteem stuck is us living in the past. I’ve made certain mistakes in the past and I stayed stuck because I stayed in the cycle of unforgiveness and self-doubt. I was constantly beating myself up and I had a hard time forgiving myself so that I could move forward. Unforgiveness whether towards others or yourself builds up a fence and that fence walls you in, it keeps you stuck. So, if this is you, I want you to know you're not alone. Start first by having a conversation with yourself, be a friend of yourself. Talk back to yourself- hey love it's okay, hey love I forgive you. Learning to talk to yourself is one of the foundational steps of people who are mentally confident. Have a conversation out loud with yourself and you'd be surprised at where it can take you. **Build self-trust** We often struggle with self-esteem because we don't trust ourselves. We have spent so many years probably breaking promises to ourselves. If you had a friend who broke promises to you, would you trust them, would you stay the course**,** would you believe that they would do what they say they're going to do? Probably not. You probably wouldn't have a lot of confidence in that relationship. Well, that's where you can change your relationship with yourself and therefore change your confidence. Source https://unsplash.com/photos/xh4mG4cqHGg Self-esteem is the ability to trust yourself to do what you say you're gonna do. One way to do that is by building self-trust and self-respect. By spending time with yourself, by also practicing using little promises. To say I’m gonna follow through, I'm gonna stay the course, I will be consistent. I would challenge you to start building self-trust by focusing on the smallest of things. For instance, little things such as I'm going to work out every day no matter what. Once you do that for 10 days straight your self-trust will go up a notch. We're just looking at turning things up a little bit at a time. Maybe your self-trust is in the promise that you want to start jogging. You know that jogging is breathing for your brain and elevates your confidence, and it gives you clarity of thinking. Well, take the 10 minutes every day to do that and when you show up for yourself even when you don't feel like it, self-trust is built, and self-esteem grows. **Detach from the outcome and enjoy the process** One of the things that wrecks people's self-esteem, confidence is an over-attachment to the outcome and when we get to that place, we get stuck in perfectionism or procrastination, and it becomes very hard to take action, and if you are finding yourself stuck and able to take action you're then self-sabotaging by not even starting and because you don't even start you aren't able to get any results and if you don't get results or you don't feel like you're moving forward in your growth, in life or maybe personally or professionally, your confidence and self-esteem will begin to go down, you’d feel stuck. Feeling stuck is a sure-fire way to plummet your self-esteem. To overcome this, know that doing something is better than nothing. Your job isn't to attach to what you can't control which is an outcome but rather to attach yourself to what you can. Just keep telling yourself I'm going to do my best and go all in and if you do a little bit every day and stay in the present then you are moving forward in other words this is a growth mindset. **Get around positive people** People are contagious so if you want to be catching the good things you must make sure you put yourself around positive people, around people who build others up or people who are chasing excellence and wanting to reach the next level in their life. You become like the people who you spend the most time with. Here's the thing, don't wait for those people to find you. You must go find the right people and engage in other communities to get to know people. Put yourself out there. Sometimes the little things are the hard things so give yourself a pat on the back, give yourself credit and go put yourself around the right people. Those right people are contagious. It will build your self-esteem. You will start giving people more confidence. Those compliments will boomerang back to you, and you will become somebody who feels sure of themselves. **Conclusion** I want you to know that your self-doubt is never going to go away. It's always there no matter how confident you become. That voice will always be there. What the most confident people do is they learn how to turn it down The way we control our thoughts is where confidence comes in. We don't need things to be perfect, we don't need you to be totally confident to have the self-esteem that you crave and deserve. We get to rebuild our self-esteem by turning up the voice that we know that matters, which is God's voice about us and the truth about us, and turning down the old things that people said to us that are holding us back or the things we said about ourselves.

Improving your lifestyle according to motivational speakers- a false approach and a waste of time! You might have clicked on this article thinking that today you’re going to absorb some real nuggets of wisdom and knowledge that'll propel you in a positive direction because that is all I ever needed to extricate yourself from this pathetic existence. Some articles will give you a little introduction as to how you've been wasting your life and why you should be listening to them- the realest most flawless specimens on this planet and cue in some quick word transitions, cool fonts and graphic overlays that have no connection to real life. Before giving you the five points which you probably heard five thousand times in your life already but somehow reading it from this article is gonna make that big change, watch out. After reducing you to a bedazzled monkey sitting at a circus clapping their hands, they'll probably ask you to check out their nine-part intensive course or buy one of their 50 books. It's an insult! That's what it is, it's an insult to a human being to be treated like an automaton that could just take a piece of software download it and install it in his brain and voila he's updated with the new version that will make him a better human being as if that is all it takes to change one's life. Everything is a circus! Source https://unsplash.com/photos/M0zs81FNm6s Just look around you, nobody is really serious about anything, just flapping their arms and banging their heads but we all get sucked into it. I know I’ve done the same at some point and will be the first to raise my hand if need be. I'm not directing any of this at people who deal with the mechanics of things. More power to them. I'm strictly talking about these self-proclaimed gurus and mentors on the internet, these disingenuous and pompous charlatans who claim that the only thing holding you the reader back from becoming a true Olympian and a beacon of excellence is consuming their content and buying their content word for word until you’ve consumed it all. How arrogant, desperate and dishonest does a person need to be to claim that they can improve someone else's life. To all these gurus, have you really reached the pinnacle of human excellence, have you resolved every issue in your personal life, has everyone in your immediate influence absolve themselves of all pain and misery? To anyone reading this right now it's all a complete scam. These three-step guides and the four ways of this, and the seven mantras, it's a big waste of time but please don't take my word for it. Experience it for yourself just like I did. It's unimaginable how people still pay heed to these quacks wasting precious time on feel-good measures, aimless practices and doing positive things which lead to nothing. It's all a shell game, a bunch of sheep leading the sheep, and no one is honest anymore. If I told you that all it took was for you to do 30 push-ups and you'd have a million dollars in your pocket, how many would even go through with that? Like three out of a 50, and those three clowns when they do the 30 push-ups and not receive the million dollars what's the first thing that they're going to do? They're going to come back to me while saying ‘hey you told us to do the 30 push-ups, we did them, now where's the million dollars and then I'll plaster them with some other nonsense and send them out on another goose chase. Most human beings are like those 4 who didn't go through with the push-ups because why should they? If they have any semblance of brain cells, they will inadvertently understand that doing push-ups is not going to bring them a million dollars, so they clearly have the ability to discern but then they go back to guru number two and the circus continues. This is why I have a complete distaste for society because I witnessed this dumb mastery everywhere. People running around like headless chickens from point A to point B swimming in the comfort of effort and action and feeling like they're doing something to kill their time and improve. Where has any of it even gotten you? You want to become a chef but you're busy meditating five hours a day because it's supposed to be good for you, because your friend told you so. What a clown world! The answer is nothing. Nothing will ever improve your life unless you reach the cusp of inexorable desperation of not being able to continue living the way you have for another moment of your life till then there is nothing that I or any guru or the president or buddha or Jesus can say that would change you. It’s all entertainment. Everything we seek and consume is for the sake of entertainment. These talks are entertainment because we just don't want it. We say we do; we tell everyone we do but we know that we don't. My simple advice for you is- observe your environment and act accordingly. Think back on your mistakes in the long run, identify what you want and don’t want, take note of ways things didn’t work for you and keep trying until you attain the perfection you desire. It’s that simple!

Bitcoin cash: the bear market provides buying opportunity-panic sell is not an option! The question on everyone's mind at the moment is "what is happening to the world of cryptocurrency and for the BCH community, what is happening to BCH? I've heard this question more times than I can count and I wouldn't blame whoever asks this as it's a reason to be bothered considering the events of the past few weeks and how losses have been made on the value of our favourite currency in the long run. Though I may be a three month old user writing my first article here on read.cash and a bit new to the crypto space and BCH in general, observations have been made and conclusions have been drawn. BCH is the one true currency and this is evident in its mass adoption and its properties which include lower transaction fees and faster transactions. I'm very familiar with the 'buy low' and 'sell high' strategy. A common terminology has been 'buy the dip' even in the midst of the bear market. Unfortunately, for the past few weeks it's been all about selling off what we bought at what we thought was a low at a much lower price. We've seen lower lows in the past few weeks and it's been a source of worry for the BCH community. The bear market is a source of bother to a lot of people and only one question is at hand "should I sell off my BCH?". It's a very realistic question considering that we're humans. Regardless of how much in control of our emotions we are, we are still subject to it especially in terms of our finances. We tend to lash out directly or indirectly once we notice a slight diminish and inconsistency, and look for a way out of whatever mess may be happening. In the case of the bear market, we all want to secure our hard earned money by selling off as a way of minimizing losses. BCH has dropped from slightly over $300 to the current price of $114 at the time of writing. Panic sells all over the place. I wouldn't blame whoever does that as its simply a realistic approach to loss minimization. After all, lots lost thousands and millions to the recent Luna crash and they had to begin from square one. The 'quick sell off' approach may be considered by BCH holders in a bid to secure their asset's USDT but I'd rather not. I'm only going to say one thing- Don't sell your BCH for a stable coin. But if you do, don't sell all of it. As much as I'd like to talk about the dangers of stable coin and how USDD and similar coins have lots their 1:1 $ peg, I'd rather not but would advice we observe we immerse ourselves into a study of BCH's historic high and lows for enlightenment on the greater picture and how we are not lost in this bear market. As for me, The bear market serves as a buying opportunity for whoever hasn't gotten onto the BCH train. The world of read.cash and noise.cash makes it easier as all we need to do is create quality content and get rewarded in the one true cryptocurrency of Bitcoin cash (BCH). Don't sell off your Bitcoin cash, but if you do, don't sell all of it so you wouldn't be in regrets when BCH hits an all time high. I wouldn't like to say 'I told you so' when it happens. BCH to the moon!
