Today's hope
Where in this world that oft divides Can true compassion show its face, I doubted that I'd ever see but I was wrong, I've see it's place. It's there on every nurse's brow In each and every Doctors' eyes. Joined by a common foe, Defeat is not a word they know. The world will wait with bated breath, Send love to fuel the tired army Their clapping hands provide the muster That each and every service worker Deserved to hear forever after, When the terror passes as it must Let compassion be the trail it leaves in you, in me, in the very dust that is all that's left of the many that sleep.
