Colorism
Firstly, this is a negative, devaluing practice. It is the discrimination based on skin colour. It is also known as 'shadeism' which is a form of prejudice or discrimination whereby members of the same race or ethnicity are treated differently due to a darker skin tone. It is one thing to be racist and another thing to be a colorist. Nothing like this should even be in existence. If we discriminate each other even from the same race, how then do we move forward and spread more information against racism? Skin tone should never matter when it comes to the topic of equity and equality. Be the change you want to make, if in anyway you have been involved in the debilitating act, I urge you to desist from it henceforth. Why spread hate when there is so much love? As much as we all want this to stop, some persons even if they don't say it, it'll be in their hearts. The problem is that a lot of people don't understand that everyone cannot be the same. Everybody is different. How would the world be if we all had one color? God knew exactly what he was doing when he made different colors...
We all need to realize that we are one and until then nobody should get tired of preaching this topic, help in in anyway you can.
Nice topic @Chiiike19 talking about these things is the need of the time. We all should stand against such colour discrimination. I just saw a news on TV that the 15 yr old boy got arrested by London police for having dummy gun. He was just playing around. That's really harsh, police department even not apologized for it & even if they, no one can imagine how this thing will impact his life. World really need to change, specially in Western world.
