Negotiations 101: -Spread rumours that the Twitter subscription service will be $20. -Have your most trusted friends, partners, followers amplify it. -Have your business partners run polls about the $20 fee. -Make the media cover the news. -Face (expected) backclash. -Come up the next day and declare that the subscription fee will $8/month (adjusted to PPP). Everyone feels like a winner here. It looks like you made a concession. In reality you had people agree to pay $8/month for service that they were getting for free before.
