So get a $8/monthly Twitter Blue checkmark subscription and still get the ads. What's that supposed to mean pay to remain the product?! Plus would love to see how they'll implement the new Blue checkmark rule. I suspect thousands of Blue checkmark-ed scammers, wackjobs and conspiracy theorist roaming freely and nuking the platform

To be honest, I don't understand either that your pain and you also get ads. At the same time I don't think Twitter will be able to monetize itself without ads at this stage.

I suppose it's a kind of KYC verification, to prove you're a real person not a bot. Quite different to the current 'famous person' verification. Really Twitter should have both.
See what you mean but you can also be a real person and anon. This complicates things. I wouldn't want to give my id details to Twitter or any other social media for that matter
