Very soon, I will be joining millions of people around the world who are taking control of their lives by working in the comfort of my own home 💻 than commuting to some job that takes time and energy away from me. 🧑‍🏭👎 For the past two days, I have been visiting an on-site office for training on my new job. I have never been more happy and excited about a job at any time in my life. My new job will be monitoring orders that go through an online store to make sure that they are not fraudulent. I will basically be a detective 🕵 looking for suspected orders that could possibly be linked to identity theft. Here are the things that I will NOT miss about working an out-of-home job: 1. Commuting to work: any job that requires a half-hour drive on the highway 🛣 can be frustrating when you are sharing the road with A LOT of stupid and careless drivers. 2. When accidents happen on the freeway, it can add a lot of time to your commute all because of the same stupid drivers who not only ruined their own days but decided to ruin the commute of hundreds of drivers. 😡 3. The on-site jobs themselves are not the most lovable places. The worst parts are the jobs that drain your energy and leave me unable to pursue my hobbies or activities outside of work. I've worked mainly at warehouses, so I am always exhausted by the end of the day and just feel burnt out because I know that I have to keep repeating the same stupid schedule for the next day and the day after next.🕛🕧🕐🕜🕑🕝🕒🕞🕓🕟🕔🕠🕕😫 4. The cost of gas. ⛽ Now, gas prices have never been as expensive as they were since 2008. 👎 Traveling is now something I would consider a luxury and it looks like the price of gas is not going down anytime soon. The only downside I have about this job is that it is only part-time but with the less spending I will be saving anyways, I can finally focus on my hobbies and activities I've been putting off for so long. 😝🤘 Photo courtesy of pixabay.com.
