Tip of the day from small talk app. If someone is drowning and you are not trained in rescue, do not swim towards them as they may drag you down with them and only do this as a last resort. First, try and reach them from the safety of a dock or pool edge, or find something they can grab onto. Alternatively, look for a life raft or safety ring to throw to them so they can stay afloat. Next is getting a boat (if available) and rowing out to save them.
