If someone doesn’t appreciate something you do for them, it probably means that it isn’t that important to them. Rather than stew about it or demand recognition, just add it to the list of things you don’t need to do anymore.

Whenever you feel stressed or overwhelmed, do some mindful breathing (3x 10 seconds in, 10 seconds out). When you’re stressed the chemical cocktail in your brain is different which makes relativizing and setting priorities way harder. Mindful breathing provides a reboot to your stress systems so to speak, which subsequently allows you to relativize and often see a different angle for the situation at hand.
TIP OF THE DAY If you want to remove odours from your shoes, try putting a few dry teabags in each shoe to absorb the smell. There are many different types of teabag out there, but it helps to choose ones with a more appealing scent. Peppermint or lemon are usually popular choices.
