It's a sunny day here and I would like to greet a Happy, Happy Father's Day to all papas, daddies, uncles, grandfathers, brothers, friends, and to all single moms who act as both dad and mom! We have no celebration today but I let my phone to be away from me for almost half an hour, for my nieces wanted to talk to their grandpa and grandma. Now, they are sleeping on "papag" (wooden bed) under the tamarind tree and will have boiled giant bananas and coffee for merienda in an hour and a dinner later at my brother's house. And next week, they will be having their 1 week vacation in papa's hometown on the other island. He will be meeting his sisters for the second time in more than 4 decades of being away from each other. They're only 3 who are still alive and they're already old, so his sisters wanted to reunite with him while our brother is still here and can drive for him. Photos below were from our cacao and coconut tree plants near our deep well this morning when I went there, after hearing mass on the radio and after breakfast. This is where I get some of my organic fertilizer for garden veggies. The bole or swollen base of a dead coconut tree like a crater already rotten and most of the cacao fruits were not harvested last year so it's better to use these as natural fertilizer for our plants. I also picked some matured coconuts for I'm planning to make oil in few days. Buti na lang di katangkaran ang niyog so I reached its fruits without climbing! That's the benefit of having a father (and mother) who love to plant fruit trees especially coconuts and they chose those varieties that were not so tall, hehe. And like a huge tree that is trying to be strong to hold its fruits, making sure that the plants that stand in its shade are safe and secure, a father is also like a tree. He will protect and will provide everything for his family. A Blessed Sunday everyone!
