my first remedy would be hot ginger tea with lemon. I would boil about an inch of ginger, sliced thinly. I'd chew or even eat ginger too at times. :D. Another home remedy is, I gargle warm water with salt. Sometimes, I also take lozenges like Fisherman's Friend. I'm not sure if that's available in your country though.
