Elon shutting up would be great, but then people might start seriously looking at the fundamentals of his various companies, such as Tesla. He reminds me most of that other famous American showman, P. T. Barnum. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P._T._Barnum ) As long as showmanship and silly publicity stunts are profitable, Elon will continue to promote himself, and the media will happily report on his antics. Meanwhile people working diligently on projects that will truly benefit someone other than themselves are ignored.
