If Mr. Depp weren't rich and famous, he's be screwed right now. "Believe the woman!" is a truism in most Western countries now. This is why marriage is so scary for most western men. I married a woman from the Philippines so that if problems arose between us, she wouldn't automatically have the legal system backing her.
