We have something called MBWay in Portugal that would have saved you. It's an app that you link your Bank Card to it and then you can pay using a normal QR Code. I thought this was standard in all countries by now, lol. It's the no.1 way of sending money to friends/relatives here nowadays. https://www.mbway.pt/

Probably not. If we have it, they'll find a way to do it differently lol.
If only crypto can be accepted as payment everywhere then we wouldn't have to be hassled about leaving our wallets at home. Because we can just seamlessly pay with our phones.

Their loss. And as more and more companies experience more and more losses because they won't accept crypto, these policies will change. Hopefully soon it will be the exception that a company does NOT accept crypto!
Well I felt really stupid for forgetting my wallet and as I do not like a pay app linked to my bankaccount...not even sure if they accept that....I would have loved to pay with the BCH made on noise...
Don't feel too bad. To go to a major grocery store here in rural Philippines, we have to drive, and since I refuse to drive on these crazy roads, we need to also get a driver. So imagine how I felt when, one day after we finally arrived at the supermarket, I realized I forgot to bring my wallet. :-(
