A router for mining Monero ? The new born in HTC Exodus range
A new router developed by HTC, using 5G technologie will be able to mine at home while providing internet access in place of your traditional modem. **A small return on the product range and their embedded technologies...** The Tawanese company HTC unveiled Exodus 1 in 2018, its first smartphone capable to mine Monero via the DeMiner application, an application developed in collaboration with Midas Lab, a manufacturer of ASICs. This smartphone is equipped with a physical hardware portfolio thanks to a secure chip and a software overlayer called Zion. This chip, derived from military technology, is considered tamper-proof. ****Exodus 1 and 1S : a smartphones range :**** The Exodus 1 is available on different online platforms and you have the possibility to buy it with Fiat at the price of 759 euros, or directly in Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin...
A beautiful Binance edition was released with the design of the exchange, and shortly afterwards followed by the Exodus 1S, a more compact and powerful model sold for around 219 euros. A 5G router that can replace your traditional modem. It will integrate the Zion technology, and it's safe place for your favorite crypto wallet under high security but for the moment no leakage on the future features of this new product. And it will be able to herd a complete bitcoin node ... that's about all we know for the moment.
In the few photos presented by HTC, we can find a USB Type-C power port as well as a second power port, a RJ45 network port (Gigabit? Poe?), and a SIM card slot. HTC has communicated very little about this new product and it is impossible at this time to know what the precise features of the product will be. One thing is certain, it will be able to keep a complete copy of the Bitcoin network transactions and thus actively, and actively participate in the security environment of the blockchain. With only 9500 nodes in service today, the total number of privately owned nodes may be explose in the coming years. ****For which use ? :**** Protonmail, an open-source email service create by the CERN in Geneva has been announced as a partner of the project. We will find protonmail alongside Brave Browser in the default applications of the Exodus range from HTC... This is good news to get out of the GAFAM's grip because these services actively fight for the preservation of your privacy and your personal data. Here is a small device that it would be good to adopt each one at home to guarantee you a healthy internet access, contribute to the good functioning of the blockchain, and protect you from personal data leaks. Not to mention its tamper-proof hardware wallet that you can use as a safe with your own keys. To be continued ...

Will mining be part of more electrical devises? Like home heater with couple of GPUs so more mining or folding can be done during winter? Thanks for your update on technology!
A French start-up has already developed a product able to mine while producing controlled heat. Article in french : https://bitcoin.fr/un-radiateur-qui-mine-des-cryptomonnaies/
Thanks for the link, it has reference to the company homepage https://qarnot.com/en/the-radiator-computer/ I do not see a shop with prices but maybe desktop with good ventilator will be just fine. It may eat 500 wt but one of the issue can be noise from computing and ventilation. Industry solution will be much better
It is true that installing asics computers at home is a bit ... unpleasant in a living room, because of the noise and lack of instant control. But it is up to you to imagine a computer rack coupled with a silent ventilation system that distributes heat on demand.
So many option, like having servers in basement and heat water, or directly integrated with boiler https://qarnot.com/en/heating-water/ I think companies like Amazon can rent central heater with servers. It can be then quicker reach consumers
excelent product .. thanks for your link
Did another post on this topic with some funny, colorful pictures. https://read.cash/@Swca.ch/heating-at-home-with-folding-at-home-banano-e7ce14d6
With knowledge in electrical engineering, it would be simple to imagine a system of heat production by transforming electricity into computing power generating passive income and heat production. Inserted in a global system such as solar heating, here is what to dig energy solutions ...
I really love this idea! IoT! Brewing coffee with mining...
Found several videos on YouTube about boiling water on CPU and this video is cooking an egg: https://youtu.be/xL40UN5p6IY Takes bit long. Do not recommend as this is still electricity and bad if water drops. But just as funny video ..
Very infromative. Can you please subscribe me also. I am need in this
Thanks for your comment
Interesting article. I really wonder how much could be mined from these... You should change the name in your text. It is a ROUTER not a ROOTER. This confused me at first until I read more of your text. I was thinking like a root kit or something similar...
update.. thanks
wonderful article finally technology is taking steps toward reclamation of privacy. i appreciate articles that focuses on tech advancement.
Brave Browser, a faster, more private and secure browser : ok bro
Very interesting
Interesting
Woderfulk article
The Exodus 1 is available on different online platforms and you have the possibility to buy it with Fiat at the price of 759 euros, or directly with cryptocurrency.
Uhh, the official announcement says it can’t actually mine anything. It says it will run a full Bitcoin node and support receiving many cryptos, but not mining it. I think you misread it. https://medium.com/@HTC.EXODUS/htc-announces-exodus-5g-hub-the-worlds-most-private-router-ef2db3d87433
nice article from official thank's i just update
Fascinating article. I truly can't help thinking about what amount could be mined from these... You should change the name in your content. It is a Switch not a router. This confounded me from the start until I read a greater amount of your content. I was adopting the thought process of a root pack or something comparative. Will mining be a piece of more electric devises? Like homegrown warmer with couple of GPUs so additional mining or collapsing might be accomplished for the term of frostiness? Much appreciated in your supplant on period!
