Arbitrum - Investing in this Ethereum Layer 2 scale solution aiming fast and cheaper smart contracts https://leofinance.io/@behiver/arbitrum-investing-in-this-ethereum-layer-2-scale-solution-aiming-fast-and-cheaper-smart-contracts Even if we are not yet in a bull market, the hype continues to build up around promising projects and one that just kicked the exchanges was Arbitrum with its ARB cryptocurrency. As an Ethereum layer-2 network, Arbitrum's goal is to enable developers to build and deploy highly scalable smart contracts at low cost. Through the Arbitrum side chains, users will be able to do all the things they would've done on Ethereum — use Web3 apps, deploy smart contracts, etc., but the transactions will be cheaper and faster. The flagship product for the team, Arbitrum Rollup, is an Optimistic roll-up protocol that inherits Ethereum-level security. And as I've heard about it from a colleague at work that is hyper-passionate about crypto same as me, I couldn't stay on the sidelines and simply jumped on the opportunity.

Splinterlands and GLS - Tokenomics should reflect SPS and GLX burned tokens https://leofinance.io/@behiver/splinterlands-and-gls-tokenomics-should-reflect-sps-and-glx-burned-tokens It is no hidden truth that the Splinterlands and Genesis League Sports have a huge supply of SPS and GLX tokens in the billions - 3 Billion for $SPS and 2 Billion for $GLX. If we are only to think that this supply hits the market, we would see the prices of the tokens deteriorate so much that will make them unattractive as crypto play2earn games. Thus, I think that tokenomics are very important and they need to be transparent and show at every moment the amount of the tokens and where those reside or are used on. I still find blurry tokenomics information and I cannot get a clear image of how these assets perform and what the future might have in place for them.

Hive blockchain is for me the most stable ecosystem in these tumultuous times https://leofinance.io/@behiver/hive-blockchain-is-for-me-the-most-stable-ecosystem-in-these-tumultuous-times For those just diving into the crypto world and who were lucky enough to discover this platform, I can tell you that Hive is a truly decentralized blockchain that provides a unique and stable web3 environment for users to create content, engage and earn crypto out of it. It offers a high level of security, censorship resistance, and community-driven governance while continuing to improve and expand the apps and games from here. These features make it an ideal place for content creators, bloggers, and social media enthusiasts that want to be part of a community-driven moving force.

Splinterlands - The new Energy System is clear like the light of the day https://leofinance.io/@behiver/splinterlands-the-new-energy-system-is-clear-like-the-light-of-the-day Splinterlands has thrown a bunch of upgrades in the game today and one of them was the change of the Energy System which now is clear like the light of the day. No more decreasing energy based on the daily battles and calculation of rewards using a decreasing percentage due to that, but rather a linear reward until a specific threshold is reached. And if you want to play more, if you cannot live without staying aside from the battles, you can always purchase some new Energy and throw your fighters into the battlefield. Things are easier now and I think that is both for the players, but also for the Splinterlands team in terms of maintenance and a low probability of issues from a simple, yet efficient system.

How do you categorize if an account is active or not on the Hive blockchain? https://leofinance.io/@behiver/how-do-you-categorize-if-an-account-is-active-or-not-on-the-hive-blockchain I see many stats about the Hive blockchain and some of them include user activity and metrics related to them. I myself dive into getting stats and publishing them in different posts, but one thing I couldn't figure out is the right way how to categorize if an account is active or not on the Hive blockchain.

Splinterlands - Can the Chaos Legion packs hit $10 on the second market before new sets? https://leofinance.io/@behiver/splinterlands-can-the-chaos-legion-packs-hit-usd10-on-the-second-market-before-new-sets When investing in Chaos Legion packs in Splinterlands I tried to anticipate future appreciation based on past financial results. One thing that I didn't quantify in this was the huge supply of Chaos Legion packs that were thrown on the market with also made the team burn some of them as they were standing still on the Official Market. There is still some time until the next release of Rebellion cards which might throw some fuel on the second market for Chaos Legion packs if their utility will increase with new developments like Tower Defense or Land releases. Still, that might not be enough to push the Chaos Legion packs on the secondary market where we've all wanted to.

GLX - I am a happy camper after I bought 1 GLS Validator Node https://leofinance.io/@behiver/glx-i-am-a-happy-camper-after-i-bought-1-gls-validator-node The GLS Validator License presale just kicked in and as planned I succeeded to grab 1 Validator Node pretty fast for $1,000 GLUSD and 500 GLGT. With it, the players holding one, have now the chance to be a part of the game by running infrastructure nodes, which will process transactions for the game. While this is a long-term investment considering the slow return for around 1 year or more, I still believe it is worth doing as this sports platform has huge potential and because we are very early in its inception considering that we haven't even seen the game yet. When the game launches I expect a lot of hype around it and users rushing from different ecosystems as this will become the ultimate ALL SPORTS platform on the Hive blockchain and beyond.

Leo Finance #LPUD - When it comes to LEO staking it is all about no guts, no glory! https://leofinance.io/@behiver/leo-finance-lpud-when-it-comes-to-leo-staking-it-is-all-about-no-guts-no-glory Another month has come and it fast-forwarded until the 15th of March right when the Leo Power Up Day event kicks in. And as I have been harvesting LEO tokens for the entire month and as the saying "no guts, no glory" I am simply staking them all. Why? Simply because I trust this project which was already delivered at the beginning of the year with Threads, the micro-blogging Twitter-like solution, which boosted the entire Leo Finance and Hive ecosystems in a blink of an eye. And as the project will mature and once we move along with it, the awaited LeoAds will kick in which should encapsulate more value into the LEO assets. And who knows, maybe if the parabolic growth continues at some point we might reach also $1 for 1 LEO.

Should HBD pegging be moving from $1 worth of Hive to something else? https://leofinance.io/@behiver/should-hbd-pegging-be-moving-from-usd1-worth-of-hive-to-something-else Currently, HBD is pegged to $1 worth of Hive which means that it doesn't have $USD as collateral, but is valued based on the $USD worth in Hive. With the current turbulence in the traditional banking systems which might pull the $USD down significantly, I wonder if the pegging/reference should be moving from $USD to something else. Until now having this formula seemed to provide stability and familiarity for users, as the US dollar is a widely recognized and stable currency. However, if the traditional financial system experiences a crash or significant devaluation of the US dollar, it could lead to value deterioration and even a collapse of the stablecoin pegged or referenced to it.

It is all a monkey business | Splinterlands Art Contest Week 232 https://leofinance.io/@behiver/it-is-all-a-monkey-business-or-splinterlands-art-contest-week-232 A new week, a new contest on Splinterlands Art topping week 232, which brings unique creativity to the table. And for this one for some reason my mind flew to the fact that it is all a monkey business, which is why we need monkey monsters in the game. Do you know that we only have a Common Fire Flame Monkey in the game, while the monkeys would rule the Earth in the old times? This simply doesn't honor in the right way the largest group of primates which still hide mysteries from us. I've generated different variations of Monkey Fighters using BlueWillow AI, a Discord image-generating AI through the use of prompts. Free to use and all output is free to share.

Hive blockchain - Top 100 Communities and runner-ups https://leofinance.io/@behiver/hive-blockchain-top-100-communities-and-runner-ups The Hive blockchain is a huge web3 platform where content is pouring from everywhere and covering a great diversity of subjects and interests. One that joins this platform is easily overwhelmed by the immensity of it all and might find it hard to find a place of its own within this ecosystem. But there is a solution to it and that is given by communities that play a vital role in Hive's ecosystem by enabling users to connect with like-minded individuals and create and discover content that aligns with their interests. Usering joining communities we'll ensure targeted channels for them to publish their content, engage with others, and receive support and feedback. Without them, we are simply lost and hard to be spotted through hundreds of thousands or even millions of other users and their specific content.

Splinterlands - We need more filters on the Battle Formation page https://leofinance.io/@behiver/splinterlands-we-need-more-filters-on-the-battle-formation-page Splinterlands evolves in the blink of an eye and the gameplay becomes more complex with the multitude of card sets and editions that are rushing onto the market. In order to alleviate this complexity, we would need more filters on the Battle Formation page in order to be able to strategize better and maximize the output of every clash between players. When one sets the formation and sends the monsters into the battlefield, it tries to both send the best team, but also the one appropriate to the rule sets, and the one that brings the most rewards. Thus one might send to battle a formation that doesn't have the highest power, but is good enough to earn the battle and also bring the maximum rewards using Promo cards, Gold Foils, or other NFTs that boost the yields.

Do I need to pay taxes if I withdraw the same amount as deposited by exchanging through multiple cryptocurrencies? https://leofinance.io/@behiver/do-i-need-to-pay-taxes-if-i-withdraw-the-same-amount-as-deposited-by-exchanging-through-multiple-cryptocurrencies These days I am trying to understand what exactly someone needs to pay taxes when investing in crypto. I have a simple plan and need some advice on whether someone needs to pay taxes or not. So, here is the below scenario that my mind thought of when trying to invest in HBD and later on withdraw the same amount. Basically, if I buy a stablecoin like HBD through additional hops like first buying Hive and afterward exchanging it for HBD, when I withdraw in the reverse order, do I need to pay taxes if the same amount reaches my account?

Splinterlands - View Last Season/Focus rewards is a lifesaver in case you missed your rewards https://leofinance.io/@behiver/splinterlands-view-last-season-focus-rewards-is-a-lifesaver-in-case-you-missed-your-rewards In Splinterlnads, the Season and Battle Reward Chests are like candies and I can say that once they fail when opening them due to some technical issues, wrong clicks, or some other reasons, you simply get angry and feel sorry for not being able to live the thrill of opening the reward chests. Some like viewing the rewards like on the slot machines flushing in front of their eyes, while others like to open them one by one and enjoy every sweet victor. But regardless of anyone's choice, the excitement and the thrill when getting a great reward is something we all play this game for.

There are never enough Trolls | Splinterlands Art Contest Week 231 https://leofinance.io/@behiver/there-are-never-enough-trolls-or-splinterlands-art-contest-week-231 The Splinterlands Art Contest is starting a new cycle on the 231 Week and with it, I have observed that we don't have enough Trolls in the game, and thus I am envisioning through AI art some variations of Trolls that could enrich this metaverse. The idea came to my mind also after I watched the Troll movie, where a gigantic creature wakes up after a thousand years in captivity and destroys everything in its path. Not sure if it's true or not or if the site is not up to date, but searching on Splintercards, NFTs with trolls, I could only find the Magma Troll. I am sure we can do better and expand the Trolls in different elements as they are creatures of magic, of earth, and even water or death.

GLX - Objectives updates and preparations for the Validator Node License presale https://leofinance.io/@behiver/glx-objectives-updates-and-preparations-for-the-validator-node-license-presale While I am heading slowly like a tortoise towards my next GLX milestone of staking 20,000 tokens, I am expanding my investments within this sports platform and I am already prepared to acquire a Validator Node License during the presale phase. I think that the platform and their initial game - Genesis League Goals - are still to prove themselves once the marketing will kick in considering the big partnership with MLS and as we will see the gameplay rolling in slowly. This is why I believe that the current prices for this ecosystem's assets are still undervalued and once will get closer to launch things can only get better.

Starting tips to maximize your earnings potential on the Hive blockchain https://leofinance.io/@behiver/starting-tips-to-maximize-your-earnings-potential-on-the-hive-blockchain Investing can be a powerful means of building wealth and securing your financial future and there is no better place than the Hive blockchain to accomplish that. However, investing or trying to earn from zero without the proper knowledge and habits can lead to missed opportunities and abandoning your goals even before the journey started. By setting clear investment and growth goals and staying disciplined, you can make smart decisions that will help you achieve your ultimate financial goals.

Splinterlands - Internal market offers the simplest way to sell or rent your cards https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@behiver/splinterlands-internal-market-offers-the-simplest-way-to-sell-or-rent-your-cards While I haven't traded for a long time any cards in Splinterlands play2earn game on the Hive blockchain, I thought of revisiting the latest updates on the Internal Market and seeing what options are available. The game was enhanced with the possibility of renting cards, besides the existing option of selling cards. While it is not intended for bulk listings, I think the Internal Market brings the implied way to sell or rent your cards through a straightforward click. Having any newbie or newcomer to the Splinterlands ecosystem used to the sale and rental functionalities from here, this is a good easy start.

Deciphering the curation rewards algorithm on the Hive blockchain https://leofinance.io/@behiver/deciphering-the-curation-rewards-algorithm-on-the-hive-blockchain Most of us that have been around this ecosystem know that the Hive blockchain has a unique rewards system that incentivizes users to curate high-quality content. The curation rewards algorithm is designed to encourage users to upvote posts and comments that are valuable, informative, and engaging. This not only benefits the content creators but also helps to improve the overall quality of the platform through curation. But not all of us know the formula that is used to award curation rewards, which I am trying to decipher in this post.

Splinterlands - The big money is in the upper leagues https://leofinance.io/@behiver/splinterlands-the-big-money-is-in-the-upper-leagues I must confess that since the bear market kicked in and along with an overwhelming supply of NFT cards and SPS tokens thrown in the Splinterlands metaverse, I simply lost most of my motivation to keep on playing and enjoying the game as much as I enjoyed the crypto wealth during the bull run. But while I think that there were some steps taken to improve the tokenomics from the game, I've started to hustle again and keep the eye on the ball. Growing my assets is the name of the game right now and the upper leagues surely help with that as once you step into the Diamond League upwards, there's where the big money is.

The roles and importance of the witness nodes on the Hive blockchain https://leofinance.io/@behiver/the-roles-and-importance-of-the-witness-nodes-on-the-hive-blockchain Witness nodes play a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of the Hive blockchain. As one of the core components of the blockchain's consensus mechanism, witness nodes are responsible for verifying transactions, producing blocks, and ensuring the security and integrity of the network.

Red Panda envisioned as a Firefox | Splinterlands Art Contest Week 230 https://leofinance.io/@behiver/red-panda-envisioned-as-a-firefox-or-splinterlands-art-contest-week-230 The Splinterlands Art Contest is starting a new cycle on the 230 Week and with it, I am envisioning through AI art the Red Panda which was also the last airdrop from the Chaos Legion set. The Red Panda known as Lily Shieldpaw is a Dragon Legendary Summoner that has healing and camouflage abilities which adds a spell upon the formation and keeps it protected. By using the Lexica AI I have envisioned the Red Panda as a Firefox prepared for battle and leading the forces for the win. I've generated four variations that I considered the best from the output, which is free to use and share.

My journey from Steem to Hive and why the last one is much better https://leofinance.io/@behiver/my-journey-from-steem-to-hive-and-why-the-last-one-is-much-better I started my journey on Steem back in early 2017 and I witnessed the crypto bull run at that time with an abrupt bear market afterward. As I was quite new in crypto I didn't know how to play the market, nor how to take advantage of the situation and snap some profits. Thus I have become a long-time investor and passed from one blockchain to the other, while I am still waiting for the market to improve in order to finally see the fruition of my time and work spent in this ecosystem. But one thing that I do not regret at all is making the transition from Steem to Hive by moving 100% of my assets and growing my presence in this new decentralized ecosystem.

Splinterlands - The Set cards grouping would benefit some additional filtering https://leofinance.io/@behiver/splinterlands-the-set-cards-grouping-would-benefit-some-additional-filterings Splinterlands play2earn game on the Hive blockchain keeps on evolving and with that, the cards management takes different shapes as that demands. The latest change in the game was to change card filtering and focus the management on Sets (Alpha, Beta, Untamed, Gladius, Chaos Legion) rather than Editions (Rewards, Promo, Alpha, Beta, Untamed, Gladius, Chaos Legion). This somehow lowers the ability to filter your cards more atomically and one can find himself in a situation of not being able to manage the cards that he wants to.

Developments needed to propel the Hive blockchain into Top 100 cryptocurrencies https://leofinance.io/@behiver/developments-needed-to-propel-the-hive-blockchain-into-top-100-cryptocurrencies The Hive blockchain is currently ranked outside of the Top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, as of 23 February 2023. Hive is ranking #218 according to CoinGecko with a Hive price of $0.458576 and a Market cap of $170,264,633. However, there are a few factors that could potentially help it climb the ranks and enter the Top 100 one step at a time.

Probably in the beginning while the price was pretty good I could have sold some and taken some profits, but as I didn't take this move I simply continued to gather more and stake them. And with each battle and airdrop, I am quite close to the 100k SPS to be staked and I am forward-looking to the next bull run to capitalize on that.

Organic growth on the Hive blockchain is what will make you thrive https://leofinance.io/@behiver/organic-growth-on-the-hive-blockchain-is-what-will-make-you-thrive Organic growth is a crucial aspect of building a thriving and sustainable reputation and presence on the Hive blockchain. Unlike traditional marketing strategies that rely on paid advertising and promotions, organic growth focuses on cultivating genuine relationships and engagement among users. There is no shortcut to it and those trying to trick the game will end up losing more in the long term while they are being revealed and blacklisted. Thus we should all focus on organic growth and bringing a real contribution to the Hive platform through our practices.

Splinterlands - Soulbound summoners enable a new use case by featuring Gladiators in your battles https://leofinance.io/@behiver/splinterlands-soulbound-summoners-enable-a-new-use-case-by-featuring-gladiators-in-your-battles With the Soulbounds cards, Splinterlands brought some nice new features along the way and one of them that I enjoy and appreciate is the fact that the new Summoners have now the ability to allow the use of one additional Gladiator card in battle. We all know that Gladiators are powerful cards and they have a low emission, thus making them quite rare compared to other editions or reward cards. Such a summoner can bring a significant advantage on the battlefield if played right.
