It seems that YouTube's CEO expressed to creators that the video platform was interested in "expanding" its ecosystem to include NFTs: "The past year in the world of crypto, nonfungible tokens (NFTs), and even decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) has highlighted a previously unimaginable opportunity to grow the connection between creators and their fans". This would be a serious move towards Web 3.0 and empowering users to earn and participate in governance.
