Rakuten takes a leap on crypto and a new crypto payment universe has opened Japanese e-commerce giant, Rakuten, now accepts crypto payments such as BTC, ETH, and BCH to purchase Rakuten Cash for Rakuten Pay transactions. This crypto asset-backed payment service allows customers to transact at franchises like Familymart, McDonald’s, 7-11 through their phones. In a further boost to accommodate crypto users, the firm will also add a ‘crypto’ tab to its Rakuten app which provides convenient crypto asset management to its customers.
