We need to plan well and not be afraid to take a risk as otherwise life continues on and we'll find ourselves standing still after years and years. Most people are just complacent and if you double that with a bear market you'll see that all have run instead of staying and growing their portfolios for a fraction of a normal price. This is the time when riches are made.

I am in it for the long haul. My goal is to have a nice solid passive income stream. Not mess around and spend tons of time to make a little bit here and there.
You are right, we have invested much of our time and we'd better get a long term stream of income out of it.
I am here long term, but will take some short term wins.

I am a long hauler as well. But as Steve said, it is nice to pull a little profit from time to time.
