my dream career
'I want to become a lawyer' I replied to my teacher's question on what I wanted to be in future. Ever since I was a little girl, I had always been so fascinated whenever I saw lawyers dress in their black robes and wigs. The fact that I would always be seen as a symbol of justice and also serve humanity made me love the career even more. As I grew up, I started working towards it but however when I became a teenager my passion for teaching grew. I began to reconsider and decided that I would become a teacher.
Teaching is the most wonderful career on earth sadly it is however a career most people rarely consider worthy being that teachers do not not earning what they deserve. The work of a teacher is so enormous that a teacher's effort can't be over emphasized in the lives of various individuals. Imagine a society with no teacher? What aroused my passion for teaching was the way my English teacher in highschool had always taught us. The way we looked up to him, believed in him and had complete trust in whatever he taught us made me realize that impacting knowledge in the lives of people especially youngsters is one of the best service to humanity.
Teaching is however a wide career that ranges from the common instillation of knowledge of various academics like languages, sciences and skills to instilling morals and values in the lives of people. Teachers are best described as builders. They shapen the lives of people by impacting knowledge in them so that they end up been useful to themselves and the society at large.
Everyone wants to be successful but I want to be a teacher who has successfully impacted meaningful in the lives of people within or outside the four walls of a classroom. Teaching is a career I love so much because it will not only make fulfilled as a person but also make me someone who has been able to help people achieve and discover their true selves.
Keep Your Eyes on the Prize
While playing sports in high school, I was often told by my coaches to keep your eyes on the prize. The prize being to win.
After high school lots of things change. What we think of as winning changes as do the prizes we want. But the basic principles of how to win stay the same.
Your prize may change from winning a sports game to:
Graduating college
Losing 10 pounds
Eating healthier
Exercising more
Getting a promotion
Buying your first home...
There will always be things we want in life. Some are just a passing whim, others are real desires or prizes. When you come across one of those prizes, don't let it slip away. Keep it in focus. Remembering what you want and why, so you can continue to move toward it step by step.
That is the essence of keeping your eyes on the prize. If there is something you really want, keep it in your thoughts. We often come up with great goals when feeling optimistic and strong, but then as life moves on, we get caught up in our routines and schedules. Suddenly a strong want or goal slips away.
The tips below are designed to help keep your goals in front of you. If you see your goals on a regular basis, you are more likely to be motivated to work on them. As you consistently work on them, you will be moving closer and closer to accomplishment.
People often say that motivation doesn't last.
Well, neither does bathing,
that's why we recommend it daily.
-Zig Ziglar
Here are 5 tips to keep your eyes on the prize
1. Use your Computer.
Set your desktop background with a picture that represents your goal. You can also add some text as a reminder or motivator.
2. Print them up.
Print your goals and post them in important places that you're likely to see. Some great places to use are - the fridge, bathroom mirror, and by the alarm clock.
3. Wallet sized card.
Create a wallet sized card with your goals printed on it. Keep this with you all the time. Put it in your wallet, pocket, or purse near something you use daily, perhaps your atm or credit card. This way every time you use your atm card, you'll also see your goals.
4. use a dry erase board.
A dry erase board is an excellent tool. You can write your goals and add an inspirational quote.
5.Twice a day.
Commit to reading your goals twice a day. Once in the morning and again when going to sleep.
Remember to keep it simple. Using the above tips should be an easy part of your routine. Pick one and give it a try.
Keeping your goals in front of you on a regular basis will refresh your positive mind set. you may still hit a rough patch at times, but that's normal. Setting up reminders are like having a personal cheering section. They are there to support you and remind you of how you felt when you first chose the goal - inspired, strong, and optimistic.
Good luck with your goals.
Motivation
What Is Motivation?
Motivation is your desire to do something with your personal life, at work, in school, in sports, or in any hobbies. Having the motivation to do something can help you achieve your big goals and dreams, whatever they may be.
Knowing how to motivate yourself can help you accomplish anything you set your mind to, so let’s get to that next.
How to Motivate Yourself: 3 Simple Tricks
1. Create a Positive Environment
Music can be as powerful a motivator as motivational quotes. Each morning when you wake up, play a few pump up songs before you start your day to get you going. You can listen to playlists with motivational songs on Spotify to help you get going. By getting your mind in the right mindset, you can inch closer to motivating yourself. When I want to get in the zone, I listen to “Time” by Hans Zimmer, which has no lyrics but has an intensity which helps me focus. If I’m feeling like I’m in a rut, motivational songs like “You’re a Superstar” by Love Inc. picks me up. https://googleweblight.com/i?u=https://open.spotify.com/artist/0YC192cP3KPCRWx8zr8MfZ&hl=en-NG
2. Celebrate Your Small Wins
When you think of your BIG goal, sometimes you start feeling overwhelmed. Why? Because big goals don’t get achieved right away. Instead, you need to create mini goals to help excite you along the way. Celebrating your small wins will help you stay motivated through your journey. Plus, celebrating is always super fun. Maybe you break your goal down to 10 small-sized goals with tasks that get you on track to achieve them. For each of the 10 goals you can add a small celebration. Maybe a glass of champagne for one or a dessert with a sparkler on top for another. Don’t forget to check out some of our motivational quotes about success in a later section. https://googleweblight.com/i?u=https://ng.oberlo.com/blog/feeling-overwhelmed&hl=en-NG
3. Surround Yourself With Motivated People
This goes back to the positive environment point: You need to be around with others who are just ambitious as you. American entrepreneur John Rohn once said, “You’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with it.” And whether or not that’s true is debatable, the reality is being around the right kind of people can only help you grow. If you’re surrounded by those who love your ambition, you’ll be more ambitious and achieve more. If you’re surrounded by loved ones who tell you your goals are stupid and tell you to change them, you need to avoid them. Be around those who help you feel comfortable being the ambitious, go-getter you are, so you can become the successful person you’re meant to be.
To My Mother
Because I feel that, in the Heavens above,
The angels, whispering to one another,
Can find, among their burning terms of love,
None so devotional as that of “Mother,”
Therefore by that dear name I long have called you —
You who are more than mother unto me,
And fill my heart of hearts, where Death installed you
In setting my Virginia's spirit free.
My mother — my own mother, who died early,
Was but the mother of myself; but you
Are mother to the one I loved so dearly,
And thus are dearer than the mother I knew
By that infinity with which my wife
Was dearer to my soul than its soul-life
Africa
Africa is the world's second-largest and second-most populous continent, after Asia. At about 30.3 million km2 (11.7 million square miles) including adjacent islands, it covers 6% of Earth's total surface area and 20% of its land areaWith 1.3 billion people as of 2018, it accounts for about 16% of the world's human population. Africa's average population is the youngest amongst all the continentsthe median age in 2012 was 19.7, when the worldwide median age was 30.4Despite a wide range of natural resources, the continent is the least wealthy per capita in large part due to the legacies of European colonization in Africa. Despite this low concentration of wealth, recent e conomic expansion and the large and young population make Africa an important economic market in the broader global context.
The continent is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, the Isthmus of Suez and the Red Sea to the northeast, the Indian Ocean to the southeast and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. The continent includes Madagascar and various archipelagos. It contains 54 fully recognised sovereign states (countries), eight territories and two de facto independent states with limited or no recognition. Algeria is Africa's largest country by area, and Nigeria is its largest by population.
My Dream House
Dream House…..Into a Reality? For my imaginary place I chose to do my dream house! I chose to do my dream house because it will help you better to understand more about not only my dream house, but also about me and my personality! First I am going to start out with just talking about where my dream house would be located and why! I would have my dream house located in Frankton, Indiana. I would live here because I love this area for many reasons! A few of the reasons are; there aren’t very many people around, it is very quiet, everything is walking distance, and it is where I have grown up all my life! Those are just a few of the simple reasons that I would like to stay in this rural community! For my dream house we will start with the yard/land. I would like to have at least five to ten acres and with a medium sized pond! I would also like to have a bunch of trees. For a driveway I would like it to just be a normal sized driveway! I want this kind of land because my family and I love to fish, hunt, ride four wheelers, and much more so this land and yard would just be absolutely perfect for not just me, but also my family when they come over! I would want to have lots of trees because my grandpa and I have always planted different kinds of trees and bushes ever since I could walk, and that is something that we highly enjoy doing together, and having this land would allow this to continue!! As you are admiring my gorgeous yard on your way up my normal size driveway you…
My Favorite Food (Pizza)
I am very foodie. I love to eat and cook. The food gives us energy. Without food, there is no life. There are so many dishes available in today’s world some like Indian foods like Biryani, Dosa, Pav Bhaji, Pani Puri etc whereas some like western foods like Pizza, Burger, Noodles etc. Among the number of food Pizza is my favorite food because it tastes and smells fabulous.
The pizza itself looks so yummy, crispy and so cheesy. There is no better feeling in the world than a warm pizza box on your lap. My love for Pizza is very high. I am always hungry for pizza, be it any time of the day. Cheese is the secret ingredient of any food it makes any food taste yummy. Nearly any ingredient can be put on pizza. Those diced vegetables, jalapenos, tomato sauce, cheese and mushrooms makes me eat more and more like a unique work of art. Every pie is a different shape and size. There are thin crust pies, deep dish pies, and everything in between. There are pies with different cheeses and tomato sauce, or even pies with a completely different base altogether. On every occasion, I celebrate it with pizza style. There are times when I get scolded for having pizza all the time because anything in excess causes harms to our health but a pizza lover will always be a pizza lover. There is something between me and pizza the bond which cannot be broken.
No matter how much I have eaten, I never fail to make myself feel hungry when I have my favorite pizzas in front of me. Flavors are felt exploding in my mouth when I take the 1st bite of my pizza. My love for my pizzas is eternal and nobody on this earth could ever take this from me until I die.
Poem: *be you*
You are dark and;
She is fair
Yes! both are complexion
But why do you take an obsession in changing who you are
and why does she take an obsession in making you feel inferior
Listen! both are complexion.
He created you in the best of form without your knowledge
So, why do you think HE needs your consent before HE made you dark
and why does she thinks she chooses to be fair when her consent wasn’t sought
Both are complexion.
You do not have to tell your Lord HE is imperfect because HE made you ebony with flat boobs and boom
because, HE is the PERFECTIONIST.
She does not have to wear the garment of proudness and act like she is her maker because she is fair and has the curves.
Both are human.
The more you remain who you are,
the more appreciative you become.
and the more she rips off the garment of racism and discrimination,
the more humble she becomes.
HE,
The MAKER,
The PERFECTIONIST
Knows what’s best for you
So, why choose the worst for yourself
Everytime you go through the pain of restructuring and repairing the plastic surgery that’s planted in your body.
Everytime you go extravagant on expensive creams and oils you use to maintain your reconstructed body.
Why do you choose pain instead of pleasure?
Why do you take measures that are dangerous to your existence?
Because, you think she is better being fair.
But, you are ugly being an ebony.
Your maker wouldn’t create you in an inferior manner
So, anytime you are asked why you are this complexion or that,
Or anytime you are questioned of your shape;
Be bold to direct them to HIM
Allah A’azawajal (God )
Because He has answers to everything.

12 tips on how to turn your hobby into a business
Turning a hobby into a sustainable business is a deliberate endeavour that demands planning, commitment and a business mindset because a hobby is an unwinding preoccupation or leisure activity conducted in spare time for recreation, relaxation or pleasure.

how to fight low SELF-ESTEEM & build positive mindset
A lot of talents have been swallowed up due to low self-esteem. Lives have been lost, homes have been destroyed due to low self-esteem and are still being destroyed if nothing is done to eradicate it.
Have you ever wondered why suicide is on the rise now especially among the younger people who are supposed to be more excited about life? Well, the reason is not far from LOW SELF- ESTEEM that is it.
Bullying, unnecessary pride and even molestation have their roots in low self-esteem. A guy who abuses a girl sexually has low self-esteem because he believes if he approaches the girl, he might be rejected or a lady who lies and jumps from one man to the other in other to look like the girls she sees on the television has low self-esteem.
Unfortunately, some parents also play part in their children developing low self-esteem, some parents compare their children with other children, they use foul words on their children, and these children end up developing low self-esteem which sometimes leads to depression and sometimes suicide as they now lack courage and strength to face the world.
I have come to the realization that low self-esteem has killed more dreams than anything else in the world. There are ways to combat this problem and build a better world.

My dream vacation
Korea
It's my dream to visit their country since,I am a big fan of Korean drama, pretty boy,the king, doctor John and the likes, hence, South Korea,it is!
A few reasons why I want to go there is because it has both physical and natural environments. Some include mountains, waterfalls, river, volcanoes and temperature rainforest. Some of the mountains are Mount Halla(or Hallasan);Mount Changansan and Seongsan llchubong(Sunsire peck).
Firstly, am going to talk about the mounts and rainforest. Mount Halla, rising up to 1950 metres,is the highest mountain in South Korea. Mount Halla is a massive shield volcano which forms the bulk of jeju island and is often taken as representing the island itself. Seongsan is a volcano crater with vertical cliffs rises up from the shores. As the easternmost top of Jeju island, this area is the first to greet each day's new sun, thus earning the name of"Sunrise Peak". A hefty climbs bring visitors to the top of the peak. Visitors are prevented from entering the crater by barbed wire, but they can still enjoy the panoramic view of the surrounding area. Jagged rocks stick up like teeth along the crater's perimeter. It is definitely worth the view , even if you do not make it in time for the sunrise.
There is a waterfall on Jeju island called the Cheonjiyeon waterfall. Jeju island is a volcano, said to erupted 800 years ago,and the large crater was formed a million years before,it is still considered as a volcano as it still dormant. For rivers, one good example would be the Han river. It flows through Seoul, the capital of South Korea.we have temperature rainforest. Gangwon rainforest is one of the largest rainforest in Korea.
Secondly, the food is also something I love though have never tasted their food yet except for Noddles which they call ramen, but by watching on the TV,seeing their food makes me really wants to try it especially Tteokbokki,Bibimbap and other yummy food I have seen on tv really wants to make me try the food.
Thirdly, apart from the mounts and rainforest, there are other beautiful places to visit in South Korea. I am going to divide it into four categories which are the amusement park, historical places, shopping heaven, and national Park. All these places I keep seeing on
My dream car
I started thinking about this car when I was in high school. I came to know about BMW by its excessive advertising and media exposure. My likeness was accompanied by the fame and prestige this car acquired. It further motivated me towards the aim of attaining it one day. At that time, I was a student. I was so fond of that car that I used to search about it on the internet so as to discover about it, to have knowledge about its features and functions. I have saved about 1000 pictures of BMW on my computer. My dream car is in the attractive red color which seems very beautiful to me. My dream was fully supported by my plans to fulfill it. I started accumulating money in the school summer vacations. I researched the price of BMW and started working hard to collect the required amount of money. BMW was worth $8000. I worked at 2 different places in order to achieve my target. By the end of my vacations, I observed that I am still way behind what I aimed to achieve. I could accumulate $4000 only in the vacations. By the start of my school, my hopes were all shattered and I moved on to buy a cheaper car. I asked for help from my mother and others by seeking their advice and financial support. It was apparent that no one could lend me this huge amount at that time when I was not even done with my studies and was not able to get a reputable job. I used to believe that nothing in this world is impossible. It is quite true in most cases but under the circumstances that I faced, I failed to change the impossible factor to possible. The conditions were not going in my favor and it was turning hard for me to buy my dream car. I bought myself a car that was not too expensive, luxurious nor prestigious but instead was very economical, spacious and not much expensive. The car is a “chevy caviler”. It was not comparable to BMW in speed and magnificence, but still, a comfortable car to drive. My life is easy because of this car, my traveling is not at all expensive. Dreams are sometimes expensive but I know that I will always dream about this car as it is my childhood desire which I cherish a lot. So, in the end, I got two dream cars. One is BMW and the other is a chevy caviler. One that I got and the other that I could not afford to buy unless I earn a lot of money. It was my desire to get a Ferrari but nowadays chevy caviler has become my BMW. Read More
How business and entrepreneur can make a difference in the fight against racism
The sole essence of a business venture is to solve at least one particular problem that is faced in any society. So, in that light, they offer their services, extend their products, and share their innovations all for a better and problem-free world.
A major concern and abnormality that has thrived in this world for decades is Racism. When the word racism pops up, the first thought that comes to mind is most likely white people hating on black-skinned people. And it is not totally wrong. According to the Oxford dictionary, racism is “the belief that one race or group of races is superior or inferior to another race or group of races.” Another one is “prejudice or discrimination based upon race. These definitions provide that it is not only the white man that is racist towards the black man. The African man can be racist to another African man as well, if he’s not of the same race. Tribalism also borrows from this definition, saying there is a soft spot that is specifically reserved for an individual of the same tribe.
In this article, racism and tribalism are warped together into one, so that whenever ‘racism’ appears within a context, it speaks of both home and abroad. That is, racism and tribalism.
There is a major need to educate the public on an issue of grave importance as this one. Therefore, it is only imperative that ventures with platforms lend their voices and educate the world to take actions against the gruesome practice of hating and killing fellow humans because of the difference in skin pigmentation, or the difference in the language of communication. Businesses, as they are founded to help solve problems, can sensitize the public with their platforms and also ensure they steer clear of racial discrimination.
In the growth scheme of a large percentage of businesses, reaching a wider audience and having some sort of universal recognition is inclusive. A business on the lookout to reaching a universal audience does not streamline its services or products only to a certain race. Carving a niche and standing on existing protocols do not affect the interaction of products up for sale and services rendered by a company with its audience based on their race, or skin pigmentation. Universal involves the whole world, therefore a country that limits a particular race can’t reach the world. With the goal of creating a better environment for business, racism should be fought against and done away with.
For the sake of world peace and the development of inter-racial relationships among races, a business should take on the responsibility of setting an exemplary pace by disregarding the need to leave a qualified individual from another race only to take on a less qualified individual from the same race. Racial discrimination has allowed the stereotype that ‘the average white man is much more intelligent than the average black man’ lives longer than it should. Having to hold back on employing a certain individual with adequate qualifications because of his race adds one more to the number of hate-filled unemployed victims of racism. For an entrepreneur, part of reaching a wider audience, growing, solving a problem is also ensuring that more problems than already exist are not caused.
Isn’t that enough reason to fight with the voice that your business has and eradicate one too many issues in existence. On the profitable side, it won’t take long before the world points at your service or products, cheer victoriously for your act of sensitization, and check-in with you.
So, a person doesn’t have to be held at gunpoint before its oppressor is considered racist. If as a business, there’s an air of superiority that hovers around you that makes you believe you’re better than someone because of an advantage you have over them, then you’re racist. To help is better than to go on about your privileges. If a business practices and thrives on tribal bigotry, then there’s no other way to look at it other than racism. You are terribly racist if as an entrepreneur you think you have to make a person be at your mercy just so you could feel superior. You are racist as a business owner if you think hurting someone makes you more powerful. Everyone should be treated with kindness. That’s how you get powerful. That’s how the world should run.
A business venture or an entrepreneur who lives by these racist behaviors and more is not helping to promote world peace. However, the good thing is, it’s not too late to make a change. Be the change you want to see.
These aren’t universal acts to change the world or, in this case, bring racism to its death. Instead, they are little truths that businesses and entrepreneurs have to be open to so the world can be a better place. Start with the little you can. Lend that voice and fight for the right cause. Treat everyone with kindness, and also teach others to do the same. Little by little, the world will be a better place, and racism will be done and over with.
Thw day I attended a dentist
The day I attended a dentist.I do not like to visit a dentist. But one day I had a bad toothache. I could not bear the pain so I phoned my dentist, and made an appointment with him.
As I entered his waiting room, I saw many patients. They were all awaiting their turn to go in.
Most of them seemed to be in great pain. Some even had swollen cheeks. I sat on a chair and looked through some magazines as I waited to be called in.Suddenly I heard a scream from the next room. I became very frightened. I wanted to get up and run back home. But everyone would have laughed at me if I did this. So I kept on sitting.
At last it was my turn to go in. The dentist was kind and gentle. He felt my tooth with his instrument.
He said that there was a cavity in it. It would have to be filled. Then he took a machine and drilled my tooth. It made unbearable noise. From time to time he made me gargle my mouth with water. Finally, he filled my tooth with white cement. He then told me to come back after a week to have my tooth filled with silver. I had to pay him for his work.
On my way home I was happy. The pain had gone. I was thankful to the dentist for having taken away the pain.
