Garri and Ogbono soup.
I want to share with you a detailed way of making this dish. It's one of my favourite local dishes. It contains calories, fat, protein and carbs. Well, most Nigerians prefer to eat swallow, what we call it, in the evening, I Ike to eat mine in the afternoon.
Here's what you would need,
1/4 cup ogbono (blended)
dry red pepper (blended)
1/4 cup crayfish (blended)
Ponmo (cow's skin)
Stock fish
Dried fish
140ml palm oil
Okro (chopped properly)
Pumpkin leaves (ugwu).
First, we wash the ponmo properly, to get rid of sand. Then, we would start boiling the ponmo, stock fish and dried fish with some seasoning and salt. Why, well this is because the cow skin is usually very hard so we need it soft to be consumed. When that has simmered a bit, we would take it down.
Put a clean pot on the fire and bleach your palm oil with some onion slices. Pour in your fish and the rest then add seasoning and salt, make sure you taste in order for it not to turn out salty. We would allow it boil for about twenty minutes before introducing our dry pepper, crayfish and Ogbono. You might not want to cover it after adding the Ogbono, I heard I won't draw if you doππ.
Lastly, we add the okro and ugwu, these are vegetables so they don't need so much heat in order for it not to loose it's minerals. You can serve with whatever suits you but I would go with Garri - eba.
P.S - not too much pumpkin leaves so you would enjoy it.
Tell me if you tried this, would love to see pictures too.
Life in Unical
First of all I would love to congratulate most of you who are out of the university successful. It's really a thing of joy and relief to actually graduate from a Nigerian university without any problems.
I haven't really been active in here, due to my forth coming exams. I attend the University of Calabar, Calabar. I feel really bitter over some recent information and activities I have witnessed. The situation of some of my course mates are really disturbing. I even heard most of us sell our gadgets just to pay some dues and course registration. Like, the recent hike in our school fees is really disturbing some parents. I know of two of my course mates who have recently dropped out, die to insufficient funds.
I on the other hand would not count my self lucky, to be part of the rest that are still in school. Where would this lead us?? Is education for the rich?? There are some certain things we need to consider, greed is really becoming too common these days. Just for your own selfish interest, you hiked school fees, you increased the amount for course registration, you made textbooks too cost and make it compulsory. Even the students even extort from each other - course representatives.
If you have friends in this particular school, help them out in anyway you can. It would really go a long way in their life.

Chapter 6
Vivian woke up all bubbly and happy, even staffs around the Mansion noticed, even Greta was curious behind the happiness and decided to keep quiet. She had thought about what had transpired between her and Alonso the previous night, she decided to serve him breakfast herself. She walked into, the kitchen after, cleaning the living room with other staffs.
" Let me give it to him." She said hurriedly snatching the tray from a maid.
"Okay." She said in fear, due to the way Vivian had snatched the tray.
Vivian apologised, then walked towards the stairs. She was positive she and Alonso would continue the conversation they had started. She had barely gotten there, when she met the door ajar. She walked in slowly and the sight that met her was heartbreaking. A lady was sprawled on the table, with Alonso all over her, her dress was bunched up to her waist. Alonso felt a presence at the door way and lifted himself only to come face to face with Vivian. He quickly withdrew, from Vanessa,
"What is it, why did you stop....." She trailed off looking towards his direction. She quickly covered herself up and stood up from the table. Vivian composed herself and walked in, dropping the tray without sparing him a glance or even a word and hurrying out of the room. Alonso felt guilty all of a sudden, he couldn't deny the sadness he saw in her eyes. He wasn't supposed to be thinking of her this way, she was getting into his head too much recently.
"You have lost do much power recently." Vanessa had already dug into his breakfast,
"What do you mean by that." He asked finally looking at her from his desk.
"You allowed a slave stare you down like that, it's quite unlike you." She said looking at him at him intently.
"You are welcome." He replied pointing to the half finished food on the plate. He walked out of the study to his bedroom, he needed a cold shower. Meanwhile Vivian had hurried to her room in tears, she felt betrayed. She cried herself for hours till she had no water left. She finally thought about it, it was just a regular conversation, but her crush on him wouldn't allow her see beyond that. She thought he had felt the same way she felt about him. She wiped her eyes and decided to not get distracted, she was supposed to work her way out, not falling in love with Alonso. She returned to the kitchen and met with the tray, she suddenly felt annoyed. He even had the mind to eat.
"You are not paid to stare at dishes." A voice brought her from her reverie. She turned around to behold Vanessa. She nodded and began washing.
"Where are you from?" She questioned looking at her with disgust.
"Nigeria." She replied cleaning her hands on a napkin and finally turning around.
"You shouldn't be here your relative stole from my boyfriend." Vivian just remained silent, the last part killed her the more.
"I won't tolerate any form of disrespect from you." Greta fired staring hard at Vanessa from the door way.
"I didn't know you still worked here, Greta." She replied looking towards Greta smiling. " I wasn't even talking to you though." She continued finally moving towards the door, Greta glared at her before moving out of the way. She sighed walking into the kitchen.
"Don't mind anything she tells you. She has never been happy with anything." She said rubbing the younger woman's arm. Vivian smiled, she knew she was in for a whole lot of drama.
I'm really sorry about the late update, been busy with school. Wish me luck, would be starting exams soonππ

Chapter 5
Soft music was been played on the background, the house was decorated, with ribbons and lighting. Staffs were running around, some where shouting and giving out orders. Vivian was excited, at least she was certain he had friends, she had always seen him as a lober, with no family. Alonso was having his 30th birthday party. Although, he had refused to celebrate it, his mother didn't mind organising it for him.
Guests had began to swarm in and out with presents, he moved from one guest to the other either pecking the ladies or a firm handshake with the men. Vivian stood at a far corner observing the guests, till her gaze landed on him. He looked genuinely happy, care free, he was all smiles. She felt it was good, other than been stern looking all the time.
"Why are you standing here, like Diego." One of the maids, Kate asked. She was a petite girl with blonde hair, black eyes and small lips. She was one of the few staffs Vivian interacted with.
"Very funny, but it won't be when he hears this." Vivian laughed, Kate only blushed looking away. She had a huge crush on Alonso's chief security officer.
"He won't only if one of us tell." She mumbled, after some minutes, she walked towards the guests to dance. Vivian sighed, it seemed like she was the only one with her working uniform. He permitted the staffs to attend, but hired caterers and attendants too. She had barely made it back when a lady in a white slit dress approached her.
"Be a darling and refill my glass." she said tossing the champagne flute into her hand. Vivian bowed and walked towards the table at the far end. She checked the shelves, then noticed the Champagne was on the top shelf. She stretched to get it but couldn't, then a hand brought it to her level. She knew who it was from the cologne that clouded her nostrils, for the first time her breath hitched, he was so close to her ass. He dropped it on the table and cleared his throat.
"Why are you still dressed like this?" She noticed he was now behind the table so she turned around.
"I was about changing, before a lady sent me to refill her glass." She answered without looking at him. He scoffed,
"So,you now work for the lady, Huh?" He asked looking at her with a glare.
" No sir, I'm so sorry, I would go change now." She abandoned the glass and scurried off towards her bedroom. He walked off towards his guests.
She rummaged through her box, but couldn't find a decent dress to wear. She finally decided on a red short dress, it was supposed to be her prom dress but she didn't finish. She packed her hair in a neat bun. She never applied make-up, she didn't even own any, not even a jewelry. She stepped out and walked towards the balcony, she had noticed other staffs gathered there. She could feel the stares, and glares she got from the crowd. She was the only dark skinned girl in the room. It felt suffocating, some were pointing while some laughed staring her way. She turned around, almost running to her bedroom, but a hand caught her wrist and pulled her towards the hallway away from the guests.
"Who are you?" She asked pulling away from the stranger's grip, and taking a few steps back .He had blue eyes, with raven black hair, his skin was like olive, although he wasn't as handsome as Alonso.
"You ought to thank me first?" He queried eyeing her legs.
"Thank you."she spat, he already looked like a pervert with the way he scanned her breasts and legs.
"That's better. I didn't know Alonso had something this hot under his roof." He said moving towards her. She backed away,,
"I thought I told you not to near what's mine, Rodrigo." Alonso said, his eyes had now darkened. Rodrigo backed away, hands in the air. He had been watching her, before Rodrigo pulled her away. He felt angry and possessive, he stormed towards the hallway.
"I was just having a chat with her." He lied looking at her with a wink.
"It doesn't seem like she wanted it." He finally stood behind her, Rodrigo finally walked away. He placed his hand on the small of her back and led her towards her quarters. Vivian could not describe how she felt with his hand on her back, she felt hot in the cheeks.
"I guess it's not just me that hates the blacks." He finally broke the silence, they had now arrived at her bedroom door.
"Thank you sir, we deserve the hate." She replied, mumbling the last part.
"You could make a difference to that. Good night." He said walking away. He hadn't felt this way before, why now.
She locked the door then slid to the ground, she couldn't believe she had a casual conversation with him, although it was short. She felt happy, he defended her, which meant he likes her. So, she thought, she finally lay on her bed, and for he first time, slept with a smile.
Hope you enjoy it, let me know what you think in the comments section.

Chapter 4
She held the tray shakily, upon arriving at his bedroom door the guard directed her to the study instead. He opened the door, she murmured a thank you and walked in.
"Good morning sir, your coffee." She dropped the tray on the stool that sat in the middle of the cushions, then bowed her head waiting for his response. She stood there for about 5 minutes without getting a reply only for her to look up and meet with an empty seat. She breathed out in relief, when she had walked in she didn't bother to look up, she had been hinted that he doesn't like making eye contact with his staffs. So she didn't realise the study was empty.
She looked around the study, it was well spaced with a large desk and sequin seat that sat close to the window. A five -seater with a matching stool sat at the middle of the room. There were shelves on every sides stacked with books . She was tempted to peek at the books, but resisted the urge not to get into trouble. She decided to go back to the kitchen and help Greta, she had barely touched the knob when she certainly crashing down on a wall, she sat on her butt looking above her. Alonso just walked past her, he was always on the phone.
"Find him and get me my money, Imbecile." He said, without waiting for a reply, hung up. Vivian stood up quickly and hurried out of the room.
"Get back here, little girl." He ordered, she stilled shutting her eyes and saying a quick prayer, then turned around walking in with her eyes to the ground.
"Read that and sign it immediately." He said dropping an office file on one of the cushions. She waited till he had sat down behind the desk before moving to pick it up. She moved to the farthest end before reading the file. It was an agreement between Andrew and Alonso, he had borrowed a huge sum of money while he stayed in Rome.
"You black pigs think you are smart right." She was shocked at the amount of venom that followed his words.
"Your uncle thinks I wouldn't get him after running back to Nigeria." He continued without looking her way. She now realised why he hated her, although she was on the verge of tears, she was to work till the debt was cleared. She didn't know how to reply, she was never one to speak up, it had only out her in more trouble. Clearly, she was going to be here for a life time due to the sum her uncle had lent from him.
"Please let me get a pen to sign it." She requested quickly cleaning the tears that had escaped her eyes.
"You can use mine. Hurry up, I don't have all day." He said finally looking at her. She nodded quickly picking a pen from the cup signed the papers and placed it close to him. She moved further from him and stood behind the cushions.
" I would make things easy for you, since you are his victim, Your salary is about 300 dollars, in a year you would be making 3,600. You should know how you want to pay me, so you would be out of here in no time." He explained, leaving his chair in a swift move, he was right in front of her. She took some steps back, she was scared, he looked too huge.
For the first time in a while, she made eye contact with him, but looked away immediately.
"I don't think I need the salary Sir, it's best you take it every month. When it's complete I would leave." She said slowly.
"As you wish, you may leave." She bowed and hurriedly left the study. She ran all the way to the kitchen clutching her chest, she felt her heart was going to pop out soon. Greta's head whipped towards her direction, she placed the muffins in the oven. Taking off her gloves, she rushed towards Vivian.
"What is it? He didn't dismiss you already, because he's going to face my wrath." She bellowed, attracting stares from other staffs.
"No he didn't, I would explain to you later." When they had served breakfast and taken care of the dishes, she explained to the elder woman, but Greta only smiled.
"What's so amusing about this? I am going to be here for about 5 years, thank God he's paying me, at least I have hope on leaving here." Greta only laughed, Vivian just smiled looking towards the window, she was going to be free soon.
"You haven't laughed this long in a while." Vivian jumped out of her seat and almost fell, she hadn't known when he walked him. He was on casual clothes and his hair was wet. Greta didn't seem bothered by his sudden appearance,
"It's nothing much, you finally decided to see me." She spoke casually looking at him.
"You know I always do when I am chanced." He replied smiling, Vivian was stunned. She had never seen him smile, he looked happy and care free. He finally looked at her, she looked at the ground quickly.
"Here's your copy of the agreement, ." He said, dropping the file and walking out of the kitchen. Greta smiled looking at Vivian. She knew she was different, but she didn't realise how different she would be to change some certain people, now she understood.

Sorry for the late update.ππ
What really is true love.
Back then in secondary school there was this friend I had, Jumoke . It was our first year then - junior secondary, and She always talking about a particular guy that sat right in front of us, Chika. I noticed she had a huge crush on him but wasn't willing to let him know. Then, confessing your feelings to a guy was really a thing of mockery when exposed to the public eye. So she kept it to herself, although he kind of noticed
In our third year, we were to write promotional exams for the senior secondary level. By then they had become really close, but as friends though. He had a best friend, Ayo who hinted her that chika also liked her, but she dismissed it, saying it was just a mere crush. One certain day she was in the laundry washing her clothes, when a girl approached her, Esther, telling her she also liked chika. She was also close to this same girl and she knew about her feelings for this guy. Esther and Chika had attended the same primary school but she never spoke to him till secondary school level. Jumoke being the kind girl that she was, stepped back and started convincing Chika to date Esther.
Eventually, they started dating and Jumoke was comfortable with it. I decided to confront her and ask her if she was really comfortable with it, she explained that seeing him happy was what mattered even if it wasn't with her, that if she had been in Esther's place he might not be happy. There was a time he actually asked her if she wanted this, she affirmed. Like for the first time in my life, I questioned myself if true love really existed. If it were to be I that was interested this same situation I wouldn't do what she did.
She still talks to him even after our graduation, although they are not still close as before. She doesn't regret what she did, and those feelings keep developing despite the distance.
What do you think, let me know in the comments section.
My all time favourite foods.
Well this two would be my all time favourite, I could eat them all day without getting tired. I would also talk about how I make them to my taste.
1. Indomie, fried plantains and egg.
You are going to need,
Two noodles, Onions, tomato, egg, plantain, Maggi, and salt.
I like starting with the plantains and egg because the noodles would get cold if I start with it. I prefer my egg boiled.
So I start by boiling the egg for about 20 mins just to be sure it's done. Then I slice the plaintain, we Nigerians like the plantain looking long in an oval kind of shapeπ. When the egg is done, I place it in a bowl of warm water, so it would cool down before peeling off the shell.
Secondly, I dey the plantain till it's kind of dark brown, depending on how you like it. When it's done I place it in a plate.
Thirdly I boil my noodles for about 8 mins, I use a gas cooker so it's kinda fast. Depending on what you use to cook, try not to allow it get too soft. While it's boiling I chop my onions, tomatoes and peppers, I like it spicy and hot so I use more pepper. When it's done a bit I seive out the water.
Lastly I fry my tomatoes onions and pepper for a little while with little oil, then add my seasonings - the noodle's. I pour a little water than pour back the noodles till it's done. That's all, you can now enjoy with a cold drink. π
2. Jollof spaghetti
It's kind of the same way I prepared the noodles, but in this case I use Palm oil instead of vegetable oil.
So we would be needing
Spaghetti, tomatoes, onions, dried pepper, Maggi, salt, palm oil, crayfish, garlic, ginger, greens- vegetables.
I would start by breaking the spaghetti into five, ππ well I actually feel like it makes it look plenty and it saves cost. You might be wondering how, in my house we eat two packs of spaghetti for 6 people. It goes round for each person. I boil the spaghetti for about 10 mins. While waiting chop up the tomatoes, onions, grind the ginger and garlic too, then wash the greens and chop them.
Secondly, when the spaghetti has boiled I wash it and place in a bowl, then I bleach the palm oil and put my onions, tomatoes, grinded garlic and ginger then, pepper. After a while, I put in the maggi, crayfish and salt and any other seasoning you may like to add. Don't allow it to get salty though. When it has simmered a bit I add water, the desirable Quantity that would enable it done properly. Then I add the spaghetti and cover it. After a little while I add in the chopped greens then allow it to heat a little.
When it's done, you can serve it how you like, I prefer boiled egg with chilled Coca-Cola.

My role model
Whenever I mention to People who my role model is, I always get critics. Saying do I want to be a stripper, do I want to go around naked. My role model is Cardi b. She is a rapper, song writer, most of us would know her.
I choose her because of her character and lifestyle. Back in secondary school people would complain I was too loud, that ladies aren't supposed to be loud. I tried my best to change that part of me but it didn't work. Instead, I became louderπ.
So back in 2018, a friend was vibing to her first single 'Bodak yellow '. I wasn't really into foreign music, though I was familiar with some names. I asked who the artist was and she said her name. I decided that when the holiday was on I would check it out at home. When we were on holidays I browsed about her, watched her videos and I kept following her up on all platforms till date.
I noticed she wasn't shy about her past life, while growing up she worked as a stripper to pay her bills, she was loud too and people loved that about her, she was outspoken, she doesn't hide her emotions. She is also a hard-working person, she wanted to make money and she did. Also, she is not one that can easily be talked down on. Later, on I found out we share the same Zodiac sign-Libra. Like, she portrayed my characters too. She is also a very good adviser, she motivated me to do me. Never loose focus.
She is happily married to Offset, who is a part of the trio - Migos, with two children.
Would love to know who you all look up to π.

Chapter 3
It's been a week she had started working at the Estate. She was now in the kitchen making Alonso a coffee, although she had never made physical contact with him other than the day she arrived, he had sent a maid to convey his message, while she was still sleeping. It was around the early hours of 5 She didn't know why he had to be this mean towards her, probably because she was the only black servant he had.
On the day she had arrived, she stood in awe at the magnificent structures around his Estate. There was a large fountain that sat at the centre, between the gate and the mansion, seats made from fine woods, carv d to perfection surrounded it. There were nearly trimmed grasses, all kinds of flowers surrounded the place.
"Let me give you a tip to get along with Sir, although he never gets close to anybody." Oliver interrupted her thoughts, laughing at the end, which caused her to smile. She liked the way he made small talks, even though she felt small. Back at the airport, she saw the hateful stares she got from people, and glare a lady threw her at her while he had helped her open the limo.
"If you don't want to be on his bad side, don't go around moping at things, you can actually do that when he's out of town though, try not to make too much friends, so you won't get carried away with gossips and lastly Don't get on Greta's nerves. " He explained.
"Who's Greta?" She asking with creased brows.
"The chief maid, and my sister, she doesn't like gossips."
Vivian nodded not knowing what to reply. She already knew what to expect from here, no friends, no gossips. She recited, but she still couldn't resist not staring.
They walked through the steps passing by series of bodyguards. They stood opposite each other at each steps she took, she had wanted to greet or probably say ''hello'' but her throat got dry from fear. On getting to the door, it opened and Alonso himself stepped out with another set of bodyguards, he had a phone to his ear. She stopped breathing at that moment, she felt like her world stilled. He was beautiful, he looked even more handsome than the first time she had seen him. Oliver cleared his throat and nudged her with his elbow, then she remembered she hadn't greeted him, wrecking her brain on what to say but nothing came out. He finally hung up and looked her way,
"Hand her those things, she didn't come here to live like a princess." He barked, and walked towards his car. She was stunned at his harshness, she was almost at the verge of crying but composed herself. She was used to this things, how could a stranger make her feel this way, she braced herself. She had barely taken a step when she heard his voice again
"Greta should tell you what to do." And the door of the Range rover Evoque closed and zoomed out of the Estate.
Oliver helped her settle down and show her places in the house, before arriving at the servants quarters they continued walking till they got to a small room furthest from the rest of the rooms.
"Here's your room, when you are done freshening up head downstairs, Greta would be waiting for you in the kitchen." He said then bowed and left. She ulocked the door and stepped in, she was surprised at the size of the room. She had expected it to be like a shabby cottage, but it was bigger than her room back at home. There was a bed, with a wardrobe, some new bedspreads, a bathroom with a toilet, running water .....
"If I wasn't fond of you, I would have told him you were gossiping with the rest of the maids." Greta said hands on her hips. She had not realised the the water had boiled and was probably cold by now.
"I'm sorry, didn't know when I zoned out." She murmured embarrassed, she hurriedly made the coffee and took it to the maid that had sent her on the errand. She joined Greta in making lasagna, for dinner.
"You really need to stop zoning out like that, what if I wasn't the one that caught you." Greta advised looking at her sighing, and dropping the knife she held Vivian's hand.
"Whatever it is that's bothering you, it's only a phase it's going to pass, Okay?".
"It's nothing really, I was just thinking of home." She replied, she couldn't bring herself to tell her she was reminiscing about the day she arrived here.
"There's more to that, that you letting on. But it's fine, am here when you need me." Vivian smiled and patted her hand. She was surprised at how she had become this close to Greta, she was feared by most of the staffs. A maid walked in and handed Vivian the coffee,
"Sir wants you to bring it yourself." She said then walked out of the kitchen. Vivian was stunned, he had never asked to see her. She looked at Greta in fear, she had heard situations like this was only when he wanted to get someone fired.
"It's fine. Maybe he just wants to speak with you, I won't let you go that easily." She reminded her. Vivian felt relieved a bit, she took the tray and headed for the stairs, to his study.

Chapter 2
"You are going to Rome, next month. Don't even begin to give me excuses." He said without glancing at her. She sat opposite him in shock, she thought she had been slapped across the face hard. She had heard of human trafficking from the news, school, podcasts, magazines e.t.c, but never had she thought she was going to experience it. There was no other way she could see it, he didn't even try to explain. Having known and stayed with him all her life, she had known better not to ask questions when she had been warned. She nodded and went to her room, she stared at the wall for what seemed like five minutes, allowing the tears flowed freely. That was when a thought popped out. She could pretend like she was heading to the airport and when he had watched her move towards the departure unit she would turn around and escape.
It didn't last long though, she recalled once when she ran away from home, several years back . She had become fed up with the treatment he was giving out to her, she had begun to cook, wash dishes and clothes. One time she questioned why he wasn't helping out with the chores, instead of an answer he walked into his bedroom and returned with a belt. He flogged her mercilessly till she was out of tears, she couldn't take it anymore so she fled. Unfortunately, she didn't go far before a neighbor found her and promised to speak to her uncle to stop with the maltreatment. It only became worse, so she learned to endure .
" We are about to land Rome, please fasten your seat belts." The pilot announced.
"How am I supposed to locate his house, he barely lets me out in Nigeria, now he expects me to move around in a new country." She mumbled after the plane had landed, she didn't know where to go from here. Andrew only gave her an address, and little cash to take her to Alonso's Estate.
" Who gives someone a card in this present age, only if he had just given me a mobile phone, then i could locate the address." She whispered harshly, it was winter already and she was freezing. Even with the doubled clothes, mittens and head warmer. She couldn't even walk properly, she felt like a waddling penguin.
She decided to sit and observe the people, to grasp if any of them had an idea what English language was. Rome was beautiful, unlike Nigeria. The road looked out of the ordinary, it was impossible to believe the famous Mercedes Benz C250 was an ordinary taxi. The city was arranged with cafes, malls, well dressed people too. Everybody seemed to be minding their business.
"Miss Vivian!" Some one bellowed from behind. She turned her head immediately to know if it were to be her's the elderly man referred to. Obviously, she was,
" Sorry I kept you waiting, had to Run an errand. I am your chauffeur from the Alonso's Estate." He said taking off his hat with a slight bow . She giggled inwardly, she was happy it didn't come out.
" I guess Mr. Alonso sent you then." She murmured smiling softly. She had seen elderly men in movies but ...
"Yes, ma'am..... Forgive my manners, My name is Oliver." He apologized looking at the frown that settled on her crown, she nodded sheepishly. He decided to enlighten her and norms, history. She wished everyone could be as nice as Oliver. She knew it was just someone she wanted to be this nice but wouldn't admit who.
The path leaving to the Estate looked lonely, there was only a Mansion that was sited at the end of what seemed like a hill. When they drew closer to the house, she realised how magnificent it was, her insides squirmed, her palms were sweaty, her heart beats seemed to loud that she thought Sir Oliver heard it. She was scared on what was to become of her, she remembered the cold look she got from him, she thought of movies regarding black lives. How they were maltreated, killed, she wanted to back back home, to crawl and hide in her shabby room, but it was too late. The large gates opened and then she knew life was going to be way worse than it ever was. If only she had sticked to her escape plan.........

Chapter 1
She was never lucky, like her peers, always forced to please others then displeasing herself in return. She was to arrive Italy, in 30 minutes. She was going to a new country were she was forced to work as a maid for an Italian business tycoon. Vivian sighed remembering why she was actually on this particular plane, she had planned to esecape this bad predicament before her. Her conscience would not permit her, always reminding her that she had no one to help her, he would always find her and come for her.
Her parents had abandoned her as a child with her uncle, from the maternal side. Her mother had given birth to her out of wedlock, she couldn't bear the shame so she handed Vivian over to her old retired British based uncle who have just retired and decided to return home to rest. She was a university undergraduate who was devices by flashy things. Andrew Onye worked at an airport in Italy, the capital city of Rome for 30 years.
When Anita, Vivian's mother brought her to him, he was reluctant to accept her at first being that he was unmarried and old to look after a new born. After so much talk and pleas he finally accepted to take care of her. Vivian grew up to find out that her mother later died in an accident few years later. Life had never been the best living with Sir. Andrew, he made her start working at a very tender age, she was induced to hard labor.
At age 5, she could cook, do the laundry and run errands. Neighbors would come to complain and try to make him see reasons that she was too tender for the stress but all advices fell on deaf ears. She would return from school to meet heavier tasks. When she was 11 she took the state's entrance examination and excelled, she was lucky because it was a boarding school. She escaped his wrath for 5 years, unfortunately for her she didn't complete it.
She was on holidays this particular Friday, he had sent her to the market to get some groceries, upon arrival she met some flashy dark cars at the front of the yard. She hesitated going in, it reminded her of the novels she read on Wattpad, little did she know her life was about to change too.
She walked in and met light skinned men in black tuxedos and dark shades standing at the corridor, she almost burst out laughing till she head voices in the living room. She hurried to the kitchen to arrange the groceries in the refrigerator before heading back to the living room. She headed towards the door and bumped into a wall, she stumbled then looked above her, only for her eyes to come crashing down on a heavenly figure.
He was light skinned too like the men at the corridor but he was different, he had brown hair-like that of sawdust, his eyes were greenish blue, his lips were tiny but firm, his abs were like that of Hercules, he was about 6ft 5 inches. His cologne filled the room, he smelled heavenly........
" Are you done staring??". He asked, interrupting her thoughts, before walking away, she looked towards his direction before she heard the harsh banging of the door. Vivian sat on the floor mute, she had never seen a white person in her entire life. He was like the novels she read, handsome with strong solid abs,he smelled unexplainable, and he looked wealthy. She wondered if he was into the Mafia, due to his tone, she had watch so many movies and had mastered each country's tone, she didn't know why she felt happy, she had never felt this way, even with guys that asked her out in her school .
" What are you still doing there? come here I need to speak with you." Her uncle barked staring at her with a stern look on his face, before walking away.
