You have done a wonderful job this year!
You chose to live each day with a hope of reaching a glowing end even though the path is unexpectedly challenging.
Look back at your journey - the times you hardly cried, times you thought you cannot do things you wanted to accomplish, times you tried and failed, times you felt extremely sad and unloved and times you almost gave up. You never thought you'd reach this point but look at where you are right now. You have reached this far and so you are strong. You're a fighter that will go far and win many more battles set upon you.
Think of the decisions you have made this year, good and bad, and appreciate how these things have taught you substantial lessons in life. You hated yourself for your mistakes but you know it cannot undo what has already happened. The fact is, you can use them to design a better future for yourself and for the people around you. Remember your lessons and self, please consider them at all times.
You look at the people - the ones you truly cherish and the ones that cherish you, too. Thank them for staying by your side through good and tough times. Thank them for constantly believing in you at times you don't. Thank them for always teaching you things - lessons at school, life hacks, love tips and many more. Appreciate them for the things they gave you and the times they sacrificed for you. Value them more than they value you.
To the ones that left and hurt you, forgive them. Understand that some people enter your life temporarily and for some reasons you cannot understand, they leave without goodbyes. You were extremely pained and brokenhearted that you cannot hate them for leaving you but please remember that perhaps, you don't deserve each other. Someone is better for the both of you.
Self, I want you to look at all of your experiences. Learn from them and grow beautifully so the next time you face challenges in life, you are ready to overcome them.

My hands were still clueless and cold as it clasped the remaining pages of this year. My fingers tensed as I peeked through the ashes of my life. Ashes.. because they typically burned but they made me who I am.
Page by page.
Tale by tale.
Legends, histories, dreams.
Some were totally crumpled. Some were barely hanging. But my heart kept on remembering how it was like to live years apart. My heart knew what I was like from year to year, to months, to weeks, to days.
I don't want to read the last page, because there will never be one. I know that I will always exist, as I have always been given the chance to keep going.

Have you ever been woken up by sudden thoughts about your own existence? Wondering where you got them or where they came from as they pierce your soul and make fun of reality? You want to sleep that bad, but you never wanted the thoughts to fade away because they seemed real.
Have you ever checked yourself in front of
the mirror and waved your left hand, while it showed you a reverse image? You knew the answer but you wondered and googled about it anyway.
Have you ever walked on the streets dazzled by the old trunks of trees as their leaves swayed in attempt to captivate you? And thought, “how do they do that?”
Have you ever stared through the window
of a moving bus and tried to capture the image of a very fast-paced world outside but failed because your eyes couldn’t keep up? But no matter how much you wanted to stop, you never set your eyes off of the road.
Have you ever asked about something which requires an impossible answer? Something bigger than your entire existence, boundless like the cosmos because you believe you are part of it? You wanted the answer so bad but you also knew deep inside that the quest is impossible yet you tried anyway.
How far have you been curious up until this point? You might be moving forward but are you moving forward with excitement? How does it feel to get puzzled by different fallacies at a crashing point while getting excited about it? But you kept on reading and received them anyway because you believed they are, as well, part of you.
Maybe you’ll ask these questions before you sleep, maybe all of these will matter or maybe not. I want to give the last piece but the answer to these questions are found until you make it.
Christian: Jeremiah 33:6-9

Let’s take a look on JEREMIAH 33:6-9 and see how good and faithful God is —
GOD HEALS. “Nevertheless, the time will come when I will heal Jerusalem’s wounds and give it prosperity and true peace.” v.6
Healing comes from God alone and it will only happen in His most perfect time. But before healing there comes surrender, before mending of brokenness there comes testing of faithfulness. Be faithful to surrender to the Lord.
GOD RESTORES. “I will restore the fortunes of Judah and Israel and rebuild their towns.” v.7
God is the God of restoration, of resets, of rebuilding. He will surely bring back what has been stolen. He can rebuild what has been destroyed. In Him, you can restart your messy life again, and reset your prayer & devotion life. He has the power to restore you, but are you willing?
GOD FORGIVES. “I will cleanse them of their sins against me and forgive all their sins of rebellion.” v.8
God is a forgiving God. Our sins may be too great but when we repent, He can forgive us, and purify our hearts once again. He can forgive us even in our most sinful act, most harsh words, and most unhealthy thoughts. He can make you a “new person” again with no label of sin. He can give you “new beginnings” “new life”. He can do that for you. That is the power of His love. 😢
GOD IS GOOD! “Then this city will bring me joy, glory, and honor before all the nations of the earth! The people of the world will see all the good I do for my people, and they will tremble with awe at the peace and prosperity I provide for them.” v.8-9
...and in everything that He does, it is all for His glory and not yours. His goodness and faithfulness should always be highlighted in your life. You are forgiven, cleansed, loved and restored not because you are worthy or you deserve it but because God is good & gracious.
For even in our darkest times, in our most sinful act, in our most shameful moment, God has never stopped being good. 😭🙌🏻
Christian: I won't give up my faith
When trouble comes my way,
When everything is not okay,
When it seems like there’s no other way,
God, give me faith that fights — a faith that doesn’t easily give up. Give me faith to trust what You say and not what the world says. Give me faith to believe that I can overcome any battles in life for You are with me and for me.
A faith that will remain and not faint. A faith that will lead me to victory, and to God's well done.
Just so ever my faith became weak, please remind me that you are still faithful even in my faithless moments. God, give me faith! 🙌🏻
And in times like this? Where my faith is being tested, I just want to say this directly to the enemy — "I will never ever surrender my faith to you! Yes, I won’t give up my faith on You. Enemy, NOT anymore!"
To those who are struggling with their faith, let this be our prayer, “Lord, increase my faith.” 🙌🏻

Christian: Growth Mindset
GROWTH MINDSET
This year, I’ve decided to have my “GROWTH TRACKER” where I’ll write down all my mistakes, failures, and shortcomings that I’ve done on a particular day and on the other column, I’ll list down all my lesson-learned from all those.
Why am I doing this?
— Mistakes are expected. When you’re aware that no one is perfect, everything is limited including your energy, time and even resources, you should expect yourself to fail and commit some mistakes, and that’s okay! That’s part of life. You should expect it to come. For the more you think you’re perfect, the more you give pressure to yourself. So beloved, give yourself an allowance to fail. It’s okay. Don’t be afraid. See it as an opportunity to grow.
— Mistakes are meant to be corrected not repeated. I firmly believe that a repeated mistake, repeated failure, or repeated sin is already a decision, or maybe a habit that you’re unaware of. That’s why it is better to list down all your mistakes to track all those, and once repeated, you need to address what’s the real issue behind it. It can be your heart, your mindset, your attitude, your habit or lifestyle. It is a good thing to record your mistakes in order for you not to repeat it again. There is beauty in failure, beloved, if and only if, you’re willing to correct it.
— The more we recognize our own mistake, the more we’ll appreciate God’s grace. Yep, that’s true! The imperfect “me” was showered and blessed by God’s perfect and sufficient grace. People who aren’t appreciative on God’s saving and living grace won’t grow from their mistakes. They’ll just abuse it. Grace is for you and never against you, if and only if, you’ll use it for God’s greater glory.
To the one who’s reading this — don’t be afraid to fail and commit mistake, for that is part of your progress, of your growth. Learn to own your mistake. Do a tracker to refrain from repeating it. Review what went wrong. Learn from your mistake. Identify the “issue” that will keep your from repeating the error. Lastly, review your progress and track your growth.
Moreover, don’t blame yourself when you commit mistake rather teach and train yourself on how and where you can improve more. Always be in pursuit of growth & grace. Shalom!

Remember those days when you first encounter the Lord, you said “sorry” and told Him “I won’t do it again, God! I repent!”
Remember those days when you first said “I love you, Lord! and I will love you until the end of life”?
Remember those days when you surrender everything to the Lord? Those days when you allow Him to freely move in your life and you accepted Him to be your Lord and Savior?
Remember those days when all you did was to pray and seek His Word and His presence! Do you remember how thirsty and hungry you are in His presence that time? You just made a covenant that you’ll talk to him daily and how was it now?
But now, what happened? Where are those words now? When was the last time you said, “I am sorry, Lord!”? When was the last time you pursued God and told Him how much you love Him? When was the last time you kneeled down and pray? When was the last time you talked to God? When was the last time, my brethren?
You may not remember it now but God can still remember those times. He can still remember how eager and persevere you are with your relationship with Him.
God will never ever forget that moment when you first said, “I love you!” to Him. I hope you’ll be reminded today with those words again.
Just go back. Go back to your First Love. Go back to the basic — His Word, your prayer life. Go back to where you really belong. You’re not for this world, remember?
And yes! May you mark these words in your heart, “There is one thing worth remembering in life — your first “I love you” to the Lord.” Come back to those days. Remember your love for Christ. Just remember and let Him encounter you once again. 😢♥️
Today is January 25, 2021 and allow me to say this again to you Lord, even when I feel so undeserving to say these word, by Your grace I’ll say “GOD, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!” I will remember you, your goodness, your faithfulness in every season! 😭🙌🏻

Some will find healing on the advices of the people. Some will find their healing on different blogs they read. Some will find healing upon watching vlogs from their favorite vlogger/preacher. Some will find healing through songs. Some will find healing on the little pieces of a broken promise. Some will find healing on time, “maghihilom din ako, hindi lang ngayon, sa tamang oras at panahon.”
Where does healing can be find? I remember those times when I was in deep pain & sorrow. I did everything just to be healed and let myself feel okay. I read a lot of books, I watched vlogs & preachings. I asked my friends for an advice. Yes, it helped. But, it is not enough as a soothing medicine to my broken heart. So, I cried to the Lord and asked how, then I heard that still-small-voice saying, “Surrender.” Then, I cried a lot.
Everything can be be vessel to healing but only the word “surrender” can heal a broken heart. So, start crying out to Him. Go to His presence. Go to His promise. Go back to where you’ve placed your confidence before. Go there in peace.
Our healing starts here, “surrender.”
Go back to the Word of Life so that you’ll find your worth & healing in life. Lastly, ask yourself, “Where does true healing comes from?” The answer will always be, from the Healer himself, God! 🙌🏻
May you always grow in surrendering your pain and the day will come your surrender will be rewarded and that reward is your healing. Praying with you. 🌱🤍

The Philippine Eagle: What it represents and why its preservation matters
The recent passing of Pag-asa, the first Philippine Eagle bred and hatched in captivity and a renowned figure in the country's wildlife conservation fight, saddened many filipino conservation experts. His death last Wednesday due to infections associated with trichomoniasis and aspergillosis is a crossroad to the country’s decade old efforts to save a national treasure from the brink of extinction.
Born on Jan. 15, 1992, Pag-asa became a widely known symbol of, as his name translates, hope. His successful birth through artificial insemination was the result of 14 years of research and further spurred the Philippine Eagle Foundation's breeding program of three decades to augment the national bird's population, which is frequently threatened by habitat destruction and poaching.
With this recent death of a national icon, we the north looks into the significance of the Philippine eagle in Philippine heritage and why its preservation matters.
WHAT IT REPRESENTS
The Philippine Eagle is symbolic of the Filipino's bravery and strength. The characteristics of the Philippine eagle - whose uniqueness, strength, power, and love for freedom - exemplifies the Filipino people. Through Proclamation No. 615, signed by then President Fidel V. Ramos, the Philippine eagle became the national bird, a "natural treasure found only in the Philippines," and thus, should become a source of national pride.
ON THE BRINK OF EXTINCTION
The philippine eagle is one of the rarest eagles in the world. A giant bird of prey that can only be seen in 4 islands in the Philippines- Luzon, Samar, Leyte and Mindanao. It is considered to be one of the largest and most powerful among forest raptors.
They are also listed as CRITICALLY ENDANGERED by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) which means they are "threatened with global extinction." It is estimated that there are only 400 pairs left soaring in the wild. Shooting and deforestation brings deadly consequences to the species.
The forest is the only home for the Great Philippine Eagle. It is where they obtain food, reproduce, and nourish their offspring. Unfortunately, illegal logging and irresponsible use of resources have resulted to the disappearance of their forest habitat that brings deathly consequences to the species.
At least one Philippine Eagle is killed every year because of shooting. As more of our forest is lost, Philippine Eagles go farther and farther from their usual hunting grounds in search for preys to hunt. This usually brings them towards human settlements and their livestock, which often results to conflict-with the Philippine Eagle on the losing end.
PRESERVATION EFFORTS
Due to its designation as the country's national bird, the Philippine eagle is a protected animal, as stipulated in Republic Act No. 9147, or the Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act of 2001. Breeding and preservation of the Philippine eagle, an endangered species, is protected by the government. Killing a Philippine eagle is punishable by up to 12 years imprisonment, as stipulated in the law.
WHY SAVE THE PHILIPPINE EAGLE?
The fate of our eagles, the forests and our children’s future are inextricably linked. Saving the Philippine Eagle means protecting the next generation of Filipinos.
1. FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
As the species on top of the food chain, the Philippine Eagle has a crucial role to play in keeping the gentle balance of the ecosystem in check. It helps naturally regulate species population and provide an umbrella of protection to all other life forms in its territory. An abundant Philippine Eagle population means signifies a healthy forest.
2. A HERITAGE
This rare and majestic bird species can be found nowhere else but in the Philippines. Losing the species to extinction would also mean the world losing a precious biological heritage.
3. LIVELIHOOD
Ensuring the safety of the Philippine Eagle population in the upland areas can result to additional source of income for the marginalized communities sharing the forest with the eagles through our biodiversity-friendly initiatives. These projects are funded to strengthen conservation efforts in areas where Philippine Eagles occur.
4. CULTURAL IMPACT
Conservation efforts also bring positive cultural outcomes to many indigenous communities in the upland areas. The Philippine Eagle is embedded in the oral histories and other cultural artifacts of several indigenous groups in the country. This indicates that it performs a role in the human production of unique cultures.

I know there were times, I keep running away from You. I just want space. I just want to walk away from any responsibilities, from the so-called prayer & devotion, from the ministries you have entrusted me. I admit sometimes, I get tired and felt so undeserving.
One day, I tried to escape from Your love and grace, but I have realized that wherever I go, Your love remains everywhere. Then, if that so, where will I stay?
I have realized that, “A life without You keeps going. It still goes on. You wake up in the morning and sleep at night. You can still do your daily routine. You can do whatever you wanted to do for you control your own life.
Yet, what makes me sad is that, the more I control life, the more things get hard and uncontrollable. Yep, same way of living but draining, no purpose of living. You’re like a robot, you do things routinely. Yes, you enjoy life yet with unidentified purpose”
So from here, at the point where I find myself no purpose at all where I have everything yet it didn’t give me the fullness of life. I saw myself saying these words, ‘I don’t want to see myself walking in life without You, oh God.’l
For I don’t know everything. I am out of control. Limited. Weak. Afraid. Imperfect. No matter how I wanted life to be, I have realized that You are the Author of Life, you control everything, you control my life and my living.
Today and forever, I’d rather keep on and suffer with a purpose, with so much lesson-learned than not to suffer at all. Sufferings draw me closer to God, it teaches me so many things, it makes me grow.
Today and forever, I’d rather choose JOY that only You can give than keep on chasing the uncontrollable things and uncertain dreams. Having you God is my confidence. I have nothing to worry.
And even when this world has so much things to offer, I will still choose You. I am living in this world but not for this world. Yep, I can’t imagine life without You, the Creator of it. Help me to appreciate life in all the days. I appreciate you, my Life Giver.
PS: I wrote this to someone who’s struggling on their Spiritual Journey. I know there were times that you just want to turn back and just have life on your own yet I just want to encourage you, I came from that point too, and I’ll give you a disclaimer now, you’ll greatly appreciate life if you’ll remain on the Giver. Don’t quit. Just pause. Take a rest. Then, begin again. I believe in you.

Perhaps giving up ever crossed your mind. Yet look at you, you are getting firmer and stronger each day. You kept the wheels moving. You never stopped and that's what matters.
Things may seem to be bungled. Plans might have been postponed. And you don't know where to hold onto, or how to start all over again.
But please, be good to yourself.
You made mistakes, it's okay.
You failed achieving something, it's alright. Keep learning, keep growing.
Move at your own pace.
Don't be sorry for who you are.
Love yourself the way you ever imagined.
People come and go.
Get used to the cycle.
Forgive and move forward.
Fill your bottles,
Feed your soul.
Heal your wounds,
Enfold your imperfections.
Set your goals,
Chase your dreams.
Be good to yourself.
Give yourself the consideration you always give to others. Render yourself the time to think, reflect, and feel everything. Pamper yourself with things that make you happy.
Get a life and own it.
Don't live to please anyone.

Because you choose what you feel, you become what you want. For the choice is always yours to pick.

You lose your innocence when you start trying new things. Beyond its scope, towards what is more real. Yet, is there anything such as innocence? Does it really exist? Maybe innocence is for a child, a newborn one. And maybe you had your share so it stopped giving you a portion. As days roll down to the mountainous peaks, you shred skin, a sign of becoming more mature. A thing that you need in order to face what’s beyond the zenith of these monstrous clumped land masses.
Maybe you had to lose innocence in order to reclaim what is rightfully yours. What needs to be amplified in your soul in order to feed it. And maybe, when you know what it is that you are looking for, you could go back to innocence. Not to ask it why it left you because you already know why. But to tell it that you had to leave. And that you, leaving was given and necessary.
