Be a Stepping Stone not a Stumbling Block "Set a good example" ***The leader and the followers*** Followers need a model or sample to look forward with. As a leader, it is important to initiate what you preach for or simply walk the talk. You must take the first step toward accomplishing it because all eyes are on you. Without a leader, confusion may arise and people may not follow. I believe that each of us knew already the pros and cons of leadership because we became one too in different situations. *Stepping stone*
Be that someone who helps others advance or achieve something. In every step of the way make sure that the path you follow will lead you to success, because once those people who chose to follow your lead had witness your good leadership they will surely be motivated and inspired to move forward on the same part as yours and that's the time you'll become a stepping stone to everybody. Therefore, be conscious of your actions because whether you like it or not, a good leader should act accordingly and should learn to connect with his/her colleagues. However, the followers should also play their roles too, and that is to provide strength, encouragement, as well as showing obedience and cooperation to their leaders. I remember when I was in high school, I really didn't want to be assigned as a leader in every group activities or performances, because I am consciously aware of the consequences and the responsibilities that a leader must shoulder. Another thing is, I am not confident and strong enough to handle such accountabilities and possible failures. *Stumbling block*
A leader should not be the hindrance and causing others to stumble. For instance, in Christianity, if you are leader that acts unpleasing in the sight of your disciples there is a huge possibility that they will no longer follow, obey and believe on what you are preaching to them, because you yourself failed to put your words into action and what more worst is that, they will no longer pursue their faith and service to God because of what they have witness from you and thats the time you became a stumbling block your disciples. Simply means you are now a **BAD EXAMPLE**. Furthermore, not all people are naturally born leaders, however not all leaders are created equal. ***What are the signs that a leader have become a stumbling block of his followers?*** A leader who displays unethical behavior is most likely to fail because character is the greatest asset of a leader. Consistent failures, indeed nobody is perfect, but leaders who consistently fail are not leaders, no matter how much you wish they were. Aside from that the moment that your followers notice it they will no longer follow your lead. Lacks Communication Skills, a good leader are both great communicators and an active listeners and if they fail to do so, well you'll know what will happen next. Self-Serving Nature, if a leader doesn’t understand the concept of “service above self” and didn't possess the value of altruism there's no guarantee that they can gain the trust, confidence, and loyalty of those they lead. Pessimism and lacks future plans, meaning to say " **NO VISION EQUALS NO OUTCOME**" . You can call yourself an effective leader if you have tangible accomplishments and outcomes . In short "PLAN AND DO". Closing Thoughts; We all have the capacity to become a leader in so many ways, you can be a good example through your thoughts, words and deeds, but the only thing that hinders us to partake that role is what we think and saw to ourselves. Therefore, before you desired to become a good example or a leader to everyone, you need to govern yourself first and make sure that you're ready to handle such responsibility and trials that may arise along the way.

Like what they said, a good leader must be a good follower, a leader must obtain strong integrity and leadership, he or she will be the one to motivate his or her follower to continue on the path of life, however if the leader is selfish and doesn't listen to his or her followers then there's a big possibility that the group or organization that he or she handle would be ruin and scatter.

I believe it all stems from having the right kind of mindset. A stumbling block can be used as a stepping stone depending on how we choose to see it. You're right Langga before we enter the world of leaders you must be ready. Prepare yourself since that's a leader. You need to show that you are a true leader. We have our rights to decide to be a good leaders for everybody. If you are ready, anytime you will be leader but make sure you're well prepared so that you are confidently and strong enough to face the battle.
Precisely ate ganda, we are both potential leaders but we have different styles of leadership but as long as we have the same goals to achieved which is to succeed everything will fall into the right place🥰
As a leader, we should be the role model and stepping stone just like what you have said. But it doesn't mean that we aren't allowed to fail. It's okay to fail, just don't make it a habit hihi.

Very true @Athaliah , leaders should be a good model, but sometimes leaders can't avoid to commit mistakes but in that mistakes he/she will learn.

I have met people who are born leaders. They attract others to them, they are like a kind of magnet. But if that person is not a good influence, then it is a big problem. I always try to get as far away as possible from everything it represents.
