From Catholic Seminarian into a Loving Father Few from the Catholic members are willing to enter the seminary due to some valid reasons. We can say, out of 20 boys we only have 1 or 2 who are interested to become a seminarian and we don't still know wether they can survive to become a priest or not. Shall we say from the Christian perspective, vocation is a mystery that even the wisest of man cannot explain. There was this guy who had a beautiful, intellectual and with character girlfriend. They were classmates in highschool. Imagine, this couple were so close to each other. They used to go at the canteen together, studying together and dreaming with the same goals. We can say, this couple represents the ideal of a true relationship goals. After studying in highschool, they have decided to continue their studies in college. But one thing is quite painful, the guy has changed his decision. To simply put, they have decided to continue their studies but in a different paths. The story goes like this. When His Holiness Pope Francis visited the Philippines, this guy realized the beauty of a religious life and made a decision to separate with his girlfriend. The act of surrendering his relationship is hard for him. Imagine, he had already the ideal girl but he needs to decide as soon as possible. The reason why he decided to enter into a religious life because he wants to offer his whole life to God. We wants to sacrifice and offer priceless services toward people and God. As expected, the girl fought for their relationship but the guy refused because he is already mindful of his decision. As time goes by, their relationship has officially separated. The girl continues her studies alone and the guy went to a specific religious order for his formation. Inside the seminary, the guy enjoys his seminary formation. No cellphone, no communication with his relatives and family. These things are just common inside the seminary. In his seminary formation, he is also studying Ab Philosophy as preparatory for their Theological studies. Being inside the seminary, this seminarian is no longer attached in the outside world. He is also no longer in love to his ex-girlfriend and no interest to his opposite sex. Meaning to say, this seminarian is truly dedicated to his vocation. This seminarian is a man too, he is also experiencing pain, struggle and even personal crisis. He used to cry too because of struggles in the academe. Unfortunately, there was this unexpected things that made him totally distracted. Part of their formation is to work during their semestral break. The seminary allowed them to go outside for work. Their salary is not only for their personal needs but also for their contribution in the seminary. That is why 2 months will be given for them for the so-called semestral job as part of their formation. When the seminary decided to let them go outside for work, there was this unexpected heartbreaking moment. The seminarian went to a resto bar to eat, but unfortunately, a group of people accused him for assaulting a minor girl. The seminarian was accused of something he didn't know unexpectedly. Because of this accusation, the police picked him up and brought him to a jail for one night. The seminarian somehow depressed, and can do nothing but to cry the whole night. The police officer tried their best to search for truth and luckily it was proven that the seminarian is not guilty. Only to find out it was just a modus to get money from the poor seminarian. After the incidents, the seminary have heard the news about the seminarian. Without any hesitation, wether the seminarian is guilty or not they have to terminate the seminarian from the seminary. It is not about guilty or not, it is about the issue where the name seminarian is involved of a particular issue. Right after the hearing, the seminarian requested to report in the seminary. And here, the seminarian was told to be terminated of being a seminarian. The guy explains his side but the seminary formator have decided to terminate him and told him to spend more time for personal and spiritual discernment. From being a seminarian into a normal person, this guy never lose hope in life. He finished his Philosophy course and have a job. He tried to forget all those anxieties and heartbreaking experiences and he focus on his goals. One thing he remember, his ex-girlfriend. When he decided to visit her only to find out the girl is already married. He is happy for that good news since when they broke everything is acceptable and valid. His journey continues until he met this beautiful girl on a dating site. Because of a good communication, they have created a good loving experience and that's the beginning of everything. They become one and now in a good state of a relationship. The ex-seminarian have realized that priesthood is not for him. Seminary formation for him is a preparatory for a married life. Although he was able to experience injustices when terminated in the seminary, he never lose hope rather he continues to search for his happiness. Now one thing for him is truly sure, sooner, he will become a father, not a father like a priest but a loving father to his family.

Existentialist Way of Life One is entitled to live according to his own definition of living. That is to say, everyone is free to create their own meaning in this world. On the one hand, some would rather live far away from the city and live in a simple life within the rural village, while others would rather choose to be in the City. On a historical note, during the time of Socrates people already engaged on what matters the most. They used to have intellectual dialogue with one another to arrive at the truth. One might be questioned about human existence, while others about good governance and of course about the question of a Higher Being. Why am I here? What are the things I need to complete? Who is the reason behind my existence? What is the principle of life? These are the questions we commonly encounter. But for now, I will only focus on how to live without questioning the human existence. And of course on how to live in an existentialist way of life. After studying Philosophy from a well-known College of Philosophy in Philippines, I have learned not only the importance of education but also the value of human existence. With this, I have always engaged with intellectual discourse with my philosophy enthusiasts and non philosophy major. On one side, being a Christian, it is not easy. It is not easy because I need to follow some certain beliefs or norms from the Church. I practice some sort of things that can make me happy but in a limited way because the Church might brand me as unfaithful Christian. Because of it, I felt like i am not free and I am just chained from the Church. On the other side, numbers of Christians are happy about their faith with their family. And here where the transition happened on my life. I have realized, it's not the religion that gives me no freedom, it's about myself without self-discipline and very idealistic. Nevertheless, life taught me to be appreciative in all things. One must exist and create meaning not only for himself but also for others. In other words, life is not centered only for us, but including others. Indeed we cannot live alone, we also need others. A professor of mine told me, you cannot live and survive being alone, how can you start to find job without the others? How can you ask for a help when you have no food to eat without others? To make it clear, existentialist way of life is not about doing what you want without understanding others. It is not about self-centered without empathizing the situation of others. Being an existentialist, is to create meaningful existence with others. Live in a simple life without hurting others. Do not be driven by worldly allurements, just be simple and that would make you even more unique as a person.

Alone But Blessed **No doubt**, feeling alone in this world is truly heartbreaking. Folding back years when i was in highschool, my mom passed away. It was difficult because I live alone in my small apartment. My siblings had their own families, and unfortunately my father went to other city for a certain job. However, although my dad had a good job, he haven't realized to lend help for my studies and personal needs. Almost everyday, I can only eat 1 or 2 times a day. Sometimes I used steal food to the next room, that was embarrassing yet i need to survive. I know and I can feel it that many can relate with me especially those students who are still studying without the support of their parents. Luckily, after the pain and suffering from the past I was able to finished my studies in highschool. I should say, I am blessed because although I am alone, I made my dreams actual. What I did at that time, during my availability I used to work in a different form of jobs in order to sustain my needs. Of course, going to Church and I asked help to the Higher Being. Life is hard when we keep on thinking about negativities. Just always remember, you need to work for yourself to reach your dreams. Being poor or having nothing in life is just a state of life, but not a life itself. As long as you can do more, keep going. As long as you can work to actualize your dreams, keep going. As long as you exist, you are blessed. Just keep going in life and the world where you live will help you to attain your end.
