God is Able, always and in all ways. I'm a little bit nervous and worried at the same time, but I know and I believe that Lord God is always in control. **I'm a breadwinner in my family, great responsibilities and obligations are running in my veins. The burdens really burn my heart with tears. But, I'm happy, and I will never get tired of it.** Being a breadwinner is not easy at it is, there are a lot of storms I have been through. There are a lot of things that feel like thunderstorms that hit me and burn me into ashes. Tears that feel like heavy rains that drown me, flooded with problems, and shaken with circumstances. There are many sleepless nights that blurry my sight, a lot of bumps that ruin my vision. Words that feel like a knife, eyes that look down on me, and situations that bury my dignity. There are a lot of days that I cannot even explain what I feel. I feel nervous and worried at the same time. Being a breadwinner, there are things that scared me the most, the time that I cannot give what they need, and being helpless during emergencies. This thing suffocates me and really kills me inside. I'm crying so loud inside that even tears are afraid to come out. But I will never lose hope, those things make me feel worthless, but I know that the blessings of God that await me are priceless. I will never turn down my goals, and whatever it takes, I will never forget about my dreams. All of these are struggles, are for the people who believe in me, and I will get through everything for my family. I know for sure that these things are just temporary, and ways of God to sharpen my faith and test my strength. I surrender all my worries, all my doubts, and all of the struggles in my way to Him because He works miraculously. I know that everything is in control by Him. He is able, always, and in all ways.

My Beautiful Scars Life is truly a crazy ride, and nothing is guaranteed. There are a lot of times where I cannot understand the things that are happening.  There are situations that keep me worrying and an endless battle that makes me feels trembling.  My heart crumples in pain and the loneliness makes me feel in vain. The feeling of giving-up that weakens my entire life. I’m crying every night; I’m battling alone in my fight. There are times where my heart shouts in peak because of my strong desire to make myself feel at ease. There are a lot of nightmares that keep me awake and a lot of daydreams that enable me to see about reality. From the battles I fought, from the heartaches that I've overcome, and the challenges of life that I faced. An endless tears for unending dreams, where my scars were made. I was sharpened by a thousand knives, words that keep my heart stop to pump. Exhausted from hard works every day, and the hustles that keep running in my vein. Nevertheless, I will never regret everything, I will continue praise God for all the scars and bruises I have, I cherish everything, because those serves as **my** **beautiful scars.** These beautiful scars of mine will be forever my strengths, my forever weapons to survive. These scars that strengthen my faith to God, enhanced my personalities, and **made who and what I am right now**. The scars that I will treasure for the rest of my life, the scars that holds me tight and my roots to survive. I will never be ashamed to my beautiful scars thats molds me to become the best version of myself. These scars are all worthy to be proud of, i will never hide, i will show to the world, that this is me, my scars who made me better that I will keep forever. So do not be afraid to take risks, do not be afraid to struggle. Get up when everything falls into pieces. Fight when verythings get wrong. Life is indeed a battle field, you need to be strong to overcome and be positive to win . Everything is temporary, every hardships means another blessings will come. **Every scars means another battled you survive.**

The Learning Struggles of Indigenous Pupils in the New Normal The world has been shocked by the global pandemic of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID19. President Rodrigo Duterte declared the alarm for nationwide lockdown on March 15, 2020. Everyone faces a huge problem on a global pandemic on the said virus that threatens all the aspects of life and because of the unavailability of vaccines, everyone was faced to follow the protocols to the new normal in which wearing masks is a must. To deal with the global pandemic, to surpass the needs of the continuity of teaching and learning process, as we secure the health and safety of everyone, distance education has become the "new normal" in education with the utilization of technology. The Department ofEducation prepared different kinds of modalities. T**he pandemic has highlighted the big gap among schools in terms of equity, access, and support for teachers, students, and education. Especially to our Indigenous Learners.** **Indigenous people** are considered as the poorest of the poor and one of the most disadvantaged people due to lack of access. The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic poses a grave threat to Indigenous people around the world. Indigenous communities already experience poor access to education, lack of access to education, lack of essential services, as well as in lack of technological equipment. Indigenous pupils, live in remote areas, even cellphone signals can be absent and most of them have no access to electronic gadgets even radios and televisions. the unsustainable electricity can only prove that internet connectivity is not possible to obtain. Most parents of Indigenous pupils are self-employed, their income comes from planting vegetables, harvesting rice, fishing, and hunting animals. because of poverty they some of them do not give much importance to formal education since their primary concern is on their basic needs such as food. The reason why most of the parents of IPs are undergraduate and illiterate (no read, no write). So the challenging part of these is that they cannot teach well their children at home. Thus, DepEd stated that "even if they don't have gadgets and internet access, we're preparing printed learning modules and we'll find a way to bring them to their homes or there would be coordinated pick-up points for this printed learning modules" But then again, many of Indigenous pupils together with their parents are not be able to write and read fluently. So understanding the printed module will be another struggle for them. **Our teachers in remote areas faced a very challenging situation for the new normal.** But of course, as teachers, they need to be flexible to deal with the educational demands amidst pandemics for the continuity of education. Regular monitoring and supervising the learners are added to their tasks. Contextualizing the learning modules regarding the learning capabilities and capacities of Indigenous pupils. They also ask help from those people who are able to read and write within the community to guide the Indigenous learners within their modules. Teachers must give also consider, understand and give a lot of patience knowing that everyone has a different level of capacity and capabilities in the learning and teaching process of indigenous pupils. **Despite the fears and worries on how to cope up with the academic demands with the new educational setup, education is not the work of teachers alone. Collaboration and partnership of everyone is a must. Teachers, parents, school leaders, and external partners have to work together to address the many challenging issues of remote learning. In the end, collaboration makes life's challenges-not necessarily easier but more bearable.** Thank you for reading, hoping that everything will be fine soon especially for our learners! God bless us all.
