'The 40 Rules of Love' is a wonderful Historical Novel published in 2010 by Turkish authoress Elif Shafak. The story is about famous islamic poet Maolana Jalaluddin Rumi and his companion as well as his spiritual teacher Shams of Tabriz. A book of almost 250 pages but I can assure that you'd not take time to plunge in the book as soon as you will start reading.
Shams of Tabriz was a Wandering Dervish. He followes 40 rules in the every steps of his life. Once he was feeling like he had to teach all his learnings and wisdom of his life to someone, who has so many knowledge and able to carry those lesson. Shams had a vision of someone he never knew and never met before.
Maulana Rumi was an Islamic scholar at that time. He had many followers and his knowledge was abundant. In the course of events they meet each other and become an integral part of each other. But many people did not like Shams because of some events. They thought he knew black magic by which he could easily influence others and mislead people. Apparently so it seems natural, because of his close proximity, the hospitality of Maulana Rumi changed. He had previously used the Khutba of Zuma, which all the people of the city were fascinated to hear, distribute the knowledge of his disciples, and lived an admirable life as an ideal father and husband. But everything turned upside down after meeting Shams Tabrizi, as he did not go to khutbah in Zuma, nor did he meet the disciples and the visitors, once everyone saw him buying liquor from the liquor store or begging in the street. All of this sows the seeds of resentment towards the Shams among the general public, which is fast becoming a huge tree. In this way the phenomenon gradually moves towards a foregone conclusion.
Forty Rules of Love basically teaches the rules of learning to love and draw close to the Creator. What Shams Tabrizi looks like from the outside, in fact, is the complete opposite. Maulana Rumi said at one point, "Shams is basically a 'Faqih'(man of wisdom), but he moves like a 'fakir'(gypsy begger)". Moreover, he was a great 'Mufassir' (interpreter of Quran's verse). He could expalin the Quran's verse so comprehensibly that, it was easily understandable by everyone. Shams Tabrizi teaches Maulana Rumi to Sufism to draw closer to the Creator. However, Shams has secretly explained that this teaching does not apply to everyone. To understand the hidden meaning of his activities, the Shariah(basic regulations of islam) has to know and understand much. That is, ordinary Muslims are more likely to go astray when they walk in that way (personal opinion).
This is my first book by Elif Shafak. In fact, she has taken two stories together very efficiently. And from the point of view of different people, the flow of events is so beautifully captured that at the same time, the views and judgments of all the characters become clear before the eyes. After starting reading, I was woven into the book the whole time, well-read enough. So start reading, hopefully you will not be disappointed. If you have any questions about this book you can ask me. "Today is Monday, September 10, 1984, at exactly 9:05 am.
The world's first genetic fingerprint was unveiled. From a scientific point of view, this is truly an Eureka moment. We got an incredible variable array of DNA, which was from samples from our assistant technicians, their parents and some other mammals. My first reaction was "It's very complicated", realizing a few moments later "We've got a genetic fingerprint."
This was the first reaction of Alec Jeffries, a scientist at the University of Leicester in England, to the discovery of DNA fingerprints on this day, September 10, 1974.
Fingerprint identification completes the long-running attempt to find a reliable way to identify the culprit. But in 1974, Alec Jeffreys, a scientist at the University of Leicester in England, made an unprecedented change in forensic research with the discovery of DNA graphs. While working in the laboratory, he found similarities in the X-ray film of the DNA of different members of a family, which was the basis for his discovery of the DNA fingerprint method.
DNA profiling (English: DNA profiling or DNA fingerprinting) is a state-of-the-art method by analyzing the DNA in a cell to create a portrait or diagram of a person that can be used to accurately identify him or her in the future. Just as each person's fingerprint is unique, so is the structure of their cellular DNA. Just as fingerprints differ between two people, so too do differences in DNA. Two people can be distinguished on the basis of such differences in DNA. Every human being, except twin siblings, has a different DNA structure. Scientists have found that human DNA contains replications of some nucleotides that only their offspring share with certain mothers and fathers. In humans, DNA synthesis is made by collecting DNA from white blood cells or sperm, hair follicles, or bone marrow cells.
Just as real and fake people can be identified by human fingerprints, real and fake people can also be identified by DNA tracing. In fact, the use of this method in forensic biology to diagnose criminals has opened up new horizons as the science of recognizing people in this way is much more scientifically agreed. DNA tracing is widely used in almost every country in the world to identify the right culprit. In the meantime, it has been used successfully in various biological evolutionary endeavors.
A small amount of DNA can be collected from a human body cell, but a DNA graph of that person can be made from it. So after extracting DNA from a cell, it is possible to make a DNA chart of a human with its help. If the amount of DNA obtained is less, the amount of that DNA can be increased by PCR method. From the DNA obtained from a person's body cells, the DNA chart of that person can be made according to some periodic method. However, the graph of one person in every 12 million people can be matched.

সু পাত্র মানেই সরকারি চাকরিজীবী!
সরকারি আর বেসরকারী চাকরীর যে তফাৎ ততদিনে বুঝে গেছি। একজন ব্যক্তি যদি বেসরকারি চাকরি করেন এ সমাজ তাকে একটু অন্য ভাবে গ্ৰহন করে।আপনি স্বীকার করেন বা না করেন এটা তার উপর নির্ভর করে না। আমি এর আগেও বলেছি, "একজন সরকারি চাকরি করা ছেলে মেয়ের যত তাড়াতাড়ি বিবাহের বয়স হয়ে ওঠে একজন বেসরকারি চাকরিরত ছেলে মেয়ের তত তাড়াতাড়ি বিবাহের বয়স হয়ে ওঠে না"। সরকারি চাকরি মানেই আগাগোড়া নিরাপত্তা অন্যদিকে বেসরকারি চাকরিতে এই রকম কোনো ব্যাপার নয়। আসলেই তা নয়। বর্তমান সমাজে কন্যার পিতা ভিটে মাটি বিক্রি করে দিতে রাজি তবু কোনো মতেই সরকারি পাত্র হাত ছাড়া করতে রাজি নয়। অন্যদিকে একজন বেসরকারি চাকরিজীবী ভয়ে মুখ লুকিয়ে থাকে। আমি এই রকম অনেক মানুষ কে জানি যারা বেসরকারি চাকরি করেন কিন্ত কোন দিন জোর গলায় বলতে পারে না তিনি অমুক কোম্পানিতে চাকরি করছেন। কোথাও মেন একটু সঙ্কোচ বোধ করেন। অনেক মানুষ আছেন যারা সরকারি চাকরিরত বন্ধুদের দেখলে ভয়ে মুখ লুকিয়ে নেন। অন্যদিকে একজন সরকারি চাকরিরত বন্ধু যখন শোনেন তার বন্ধু একটা কোম্পানিতে চাকরি করেন তার ভ্রু যেন আকাশে উঠে যায়। আমাদের সমাজে এটা কিন্তু বড়ো একটা বৈসাদৃশ্য।এক শ্রেনীর মানুষ এর কবলে পরে হিন্যমনতায় ভোগেন। এবার একটু হিসাব টা রাখুন, মোট প্রায় সরকারি চাকরিরত মানুষ (১ কোটি ৭৬ লাখ আনুমানিক) এবং বাকিটা ইতিহাস। যাইহোক বেসরকারি চাকরি করেন যে অনেক অনেক বেশি সেটা আর বলার অপেক্ষা রাখে না। সুতরাং আজকের সমাজে নিজেদের মধ্যে তৈরি করা নীচ মানসিকতায় এক শ্রেনীর মানুষ কে ছোট করার প্রবনতা হঠাৎ করে হয়নি। অবশ্যই এর পিছনে চতুর লোকের হাত আছে। বেসরকারি চাকরি করা মানুষ গুলো কিন্তু ঘাস খায় না বা তাদের ছেলে মেয়ে গুলো ২+২=৫ শেখে না। তারাই কিন্তু এ সমাজে সবচেয়ে বেশি।আপনি হয়তো জানেন পৃথিবীর ধনী ব্যক্তিদের তালিকায় কিন্তু কোনো সরকারি চাকরিরত মানুষের নাম থাকে না।কি আশ্চর্য তাই নয়। যাইহোক সন্মান কাকে কি ভাবে করতে হয় সেটা খুব ছোট্ট বেলা থেকেই শিখতে হয়।তার জন্য সরকারি বাবা মা দরকার হয় না। দরকার হয় সত্যিকারের শিক্ষা। বেসরকারি চাকরি করা মানুষ গুলোই কিন্তু দেশের কথা আগে ভাবে এটা নিশ্চয় আপনি জানেন। দেশের সবরকম পরিস্থিতি নির্ভর করে বেসরকারি চাকরি করা মানুষ গুলোর উপর।আর সরকারি চাকরি যারা করেন তারা কিন্তু প্রথমেই 'নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত' এটা মাথায় রেখে নিজেকে সে ভাবেই পরিচালিত করে। দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি বদলান আজ থেকেই,না হলে আগামী ভবিষ্যৎ আপনাকে ছোঁয়াচে বলে নাকে রুমাল দিয়ে পাশ কাটিয়ে চলে যাবে।

জ্ঞানের কথা জ্ঞানীর কথা-2
১) কথা বলার আগে বিষয় নির্বাচন করুন। আর বিষয় নির্বাচনে পর্যাপ্ত সময় নিন যাতে তা পরিপক্ব হয়। কারণ, মানুষের কথাগুলো ফলের মত। সেগুলো পরিপক্ব হতে পর্যাপ্ত সময়ের প্রয়োজন।
২) ছোট খাট বিষয়ে বিতর্ক করলে প্রচুর সময় নষ্ট হয়। কারণ, আমাদের মাঝে এমন অনেক লোক আছে যারা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়ের চেয়ে ছোট-খাট বিষয়গুলো সম্পর্কে বেশি জ্ঞান রাখে।
৩) মানুষ যখন কারো প্রশংসা করে তখন খুব কম লোকেই তা বিশ্বাস করে। কিন্তু যখন কিনা কারো বদনাম করা হয় তখন প্রায় সবাই তা বিশ্বাস করে।
৪) যখন অনেক উঁচু স্তরে পৌঁছে যাও তখন নিচের দিকে তাকাও যেন দেখতে পাও কারা তোমাকে এ পর্যায়ে পৌঁছতে সাহায্য করেছে। আর আকাশের দিকে তাকাও যেন আল্লাহ তোমার পদযুগল স্থির রাখেন। অর্থাৎ যেন আল্লাহ তোমার এ মর্যাদা ধরে রাখেন।
৫) যখন হতাশা জীবনকে ঘিরে ফেলে তখন হতাশার সাগরে আশার সেতু রচনা করুন জীবন হয়ে উঠবে সুন্দর।
৬)মানুষ (তোমার কথায় বিরক্ত হয়ে) তাদের কান বন্ধ করার আগে তুমি নিজের মুখ বন্ধ কর আর মানুষ (তোমার বিরুদ্ধে) মুখ খোলার আগে নিজের কান খোল তবেই তুমি সফল মানুষ হবে।
৭)যে ব্যক্তি দ্বিমুখী নীতি নিয়ে জীবন যাপন করে সে ব্যক্তি যখন মারা যায় তার কোন নীতিই থাকে না।
৮) রাগ অবস্থায় যদি কথা বল তবে এমন কথা বলে ফেলতে পর যার জন্য তুমি সারা জীবন লজ্জিত থাকবে।
৯)সচ্চরিত্র মানুষের অনেক খারাপ দিককে ঢেকে দেয় যেমন অসৎ চরিত্র অনেক ভাল দিককে ঢেকে দেয়।
১০) তোমার শক্তিমত্তা যখন তোমাকে অন্যায়-অবিচারের দিকে আহবান করে তখন আল্লাহর শক্তিমত্তার কথা স্মরণ কর।
১১) নীতি হীন মানুষ কাঁটা হীন ঘড়ির মত।
১২) মানুষের অস্থির ধমনীকে শান্ত করার জন্য উপযুক্ত সময়ে একটি সুন্দর কথা বলার চেয়ে কার্যকরী কোন চিকিৎসা আবিষ্কৃত হয় নি।
১৩) সততা একটি ছোট গাছের মত। সেটি লাগানোর পর পরিচর্যা নেয়া প্রয়োজন যেন তা শক্ত হয় ও বৃদ্ধি পায়।
১৪) নম্রতার মাধ্যমে যা অর্জন করা যায় কঠোরতা মাধ্যমে তা অর্জন করা যায় না।
১৫) বেশি কৌতুক করলে ব্যক্তিত্ব চলে যায় আর বেশি হাসলে প্রভাব ক্ষুণ্ণ হয়।
১৬)পৃথিবীতে যত পাত্র আছে তাতে কিছু রাখা হলে তার স্থান ছোট হয়ে আসে। তবে জ্ঞানের পাত্র এর ব্যতিক্রম। এতে যতই জ্ঞান ঢালা হয় তত তা বৃদ্ধি পেতে থাকে।

২০) কোন ঘুমন্ত লোকের নিকট বসে থাকা আর কোন ঘুমন্ত লোকের পাশে না ঘুমানো ভদ্রতার ব্যপার।
২১) যে কাউকে বিশ্বাস করে না তাকে কেউ বিশ্বাস করে না।
২২) কোন মানুষকে সম্মান করা তার হৃদয়ের মনি কোঠায় প্রবেশের চাবির সমতুল্য।

২৮)যে অন্যের বিপদাপদ দেখে তার নিকট নিজের বিপদ তুচ্ছ হয়ে যায়।
২৯)যার গোপনীয়তা প্রকাশ পেয়ে যায় তার বিরুদ্ধে ষড়যন্ত্রকারীদের সংখ্যা বেড়ে যায়।
৩০)প্রকৃত বন্ধুরা তারকার মত। তারকা সব সময় দেখা যায় না কিন্তু সেগুলো আকাশেই থাকে।
