Most rarest and dangerous blood type

Blood is the main ingredient in life, not only in animals but also in our people. It is very important to know what blood type you have, because during illnesses, disasters and especially during an accident, if you need it, it is easy for your doctors to get the blood type transmitted to you.

The common categories or types of blood are A, B, O. The presence of AB type is considered rare. Negative or positive, that is the blood types of almost 99% of people around the world. In short if you need a blood transfusion somehow you can find and you will find your match. You do not worry that you will die of blood loss but you will be relieved so if after you check your blood type you will know that your blood type is not in those categories.

What if the doctor told you, you had golden blood?

This means that billions of people have been infected with only about 50 people worldwide with that type of blood. What are you going to do? Rare yet the most rare. Let's find out what golden blood really is? How does it happen and what will happen to you if you have it?

Red blood cells carry oxygen throughout our body. If you lack blood due to surgery, accident or whatever, you need to have a blood transfusion immediately because if you do not have enough blood flowing in your body, you only have one destination and you already know that.

Before performing any blood transfusion, the doctor must first know what type of blood you have, because if you do not have the same blood type that you will be transfused with, you could be in danger.

If everyone's blood type were the same, there would be no problem but of course in real life, it is not like that. Maybe you're wondering now what? How is it categorized if the blood is type A, B or AB, positive or negative?

On the surface of our red blood cells, we each have up to 342 antigens or formerly known as RHesus, those are the molecules that trigger so that we can produce specialized proteins called ANTI-BODIES. The Presence or absence of a particular antigens dictates what blood type you have. That is also the reason why there are positive and negative blood type.

Let's elaborate to better understand. It is estimated that approximately 160 of the 342 antigens in the blood are high prevalence or seen in almost 99% of people in the world. If you lack at least one of those antigens, your blood will be considered rare. But if at least one antigen has a high prevalence in 99.99% of people in the world, it can be said that your blood type is still rare.

In that sense, if a particular high prevelance antigen is missing in your red blood cells, then you are said to be negative in that blood group and if the doctor made a mistake in transferring you blood and you were given a positive in the blood group that is not in the blood you, the tendency to fight your own immune system is the blood that enters you because your antibodies will think they are foreign Bodies or their opponent.

That transfusion reaction is very subtle. It's just a common blood type that has a problem, what about my Golden bloods?

In 1961 the first golden blood was discovered in Australia and it has the scientific name Rhnull blood. Since then, only about fifty people in the world have documented that. Rhnull, meaning not only one of the 116 common antigens are missing in their blood but all.

Didn't I say earlier that only one thing is missing is rare, how come it's all gone?

Experts at the time thought that people with this type of blood could not live normally because they did not have antigens that produced anti-bodies but they were wrong there.

Thomas is not his real name, from Geneva Switzerland is a proof that he can really live in that condition. He was diagnosed with Golden blood when he was admitted to the University hospital of Geneva for a routine childhood infection almost five decades ago. Then the head of haematology before and immunohaematology laboratory today could not believe Thomas' blood type. He sent his blood to Amsterdam and Paris for further analysis and when he got the result he confirmed his findings, Thomas did have Rhnull blood type.

Instantly, he was considered Infinity Precious to medicine and science. Golden blood can be considered universal blood of rare blood types. Its life saving capability is enormous and there are many benefits. As much as it can help, that doesn't just translate to someone who needs it.

Do you know why? Because when you use a bag of that it is very difficult to replace. Who can donate immediately, there are only about 50 people in the world and they will be far apart.

According to the report, currently the only countries where there are people with gold blood are in the countries of Brazil, Japan, China, USA and Ireland. Not all of them donate their blood, others really don't want to. Why? The blood is donated, given voluntarily in short free of charge, there are others who are willing to pay but the trend is because it is free. This is done to prevent the influx of people instead of giving to help will give to earn and also to prevent the collection of contaminated bloods such as various viruses that do not yet know how to macure.

Not everyone has that, like Thomas who takes care of himself and really donates because he knows the value of his blood type to other people he can help. Even though the first person to really benefit from his donations, he is also himself because if he is the one who needs blood, he will not have a hard time finding a donor of golden blood.

As a person with very rare blood types, if you ever have that, your life will definitely not be easy. Maybe it's like Thomas who didn't even go to summer camps because his parents were afraid he would have an accident. You will also not be able to travel to countries without modern hospitals and you may be too careful to drive because you know that there is no immediate blood transfusion available in case you have an accident.

Whether you have Golden blood or just common blood type, it is important that we know what kind of blood we have for the time of need eh you can be easily cured. I hope you learned today. Don't forget to like and subscribe for more. Thank you 🙃
