It is cloudy for once. A gentle breeze blows by, uplifting the mood. Hopefully it stays the same throughout the week. Really miss the rains though, because its been a year since I've seen any proper rain.
The second half of freshman year approaches. Classes, assignments, quizzes, exams... the hustle awaits. But the exciting part? The thrill of the experience. Moments of joy and laughter with my friends. Occasional detours after class. Oh I can't wait!
A very hot day (as usual). It is sweltering out here. Makes me want to just give up on walking forwards and fall back into my comfort zone. Yet the occasional pleasant grafts of the wind give me a newfound hope. As if telling me to march on, for there is indeed hope.
Even a simple thing like going on a walk could be an adventure. Under the starry sky, while being grazed by a gentle breeze. Your mind can ponder upon different thoughts. Memories flow by like a steady river. Oh how delightful they are, their sweetness lingering as the drift away to corners of your mind... Do you feel the same?
Despite the countless storms this life brings, there is always a calm. Waiting amidst the ferocity. Will you embrace the hurdle to find the opportunity within? Or will you play it safe, forever fearful of the uncertainty?
If you carefully notice how a fresh, green leaf gradually devolves into its dry, yellowish form, that is when you truly realise how truly limited your time in this life is. Makes me ponder often... Should I accept the current status quo and mope in silence? Or should I give it my all and burn bright, even for a little while...
Ever get an epiphany while going for a walk? Like do you look at nature itself and wonder about how it came to be? How every creature seems to be so unique in their mannerisms yet somehow feel familiar? I wonder...
