Unbelievable but i still have the copy/paste malware somehow. I'm stumped as to how this piece of shit sofware manages to stay out of sight of my antivirusses and survive a complete reinstall of windows. But it just ate another $7 from me (yes i know, i shouldve looked and not assume fresh windows would work) but there it is. I'll be crying and saying goodbye to windows or something i dunno... pretty bummed out right now. Dammit

  Yeah well, i'm halfway through the process of wiping all stuff from all my drives that could possibly be infeced, and more. It will mean a lot of downloading as soon as i got windows back installed. I decided that i'm going to use Linux as my daily driver from now on and only use windows if there's no other option. With proton, playonlinux and other software pretty much every game is playable on linux now so i'm kind of done with windows for good..... still got a lot to do though. Having no drive empty but 100gb here, 300gb there and so on i am moving stuff back and forth to eventually have 4 empty drives, one with linux and one with all the "must save" data stored on it. Then one of those drives is going to get windows installed on it, and that's it. I'll use Linux for everything from then on and windows when there's a new game that i can't get to run on linux ONLY.

Okay, that experience is really a bummer. Gosh, I would be infuriated asf because of that. I do not know why but I think that's a worm that infected your laptop. Have you tried to delete your files or perhaps your hard drive? Well, I wish things will be better soon.
