Kring! Kring! Kring!.
Agad na napabalikwas mula sa pagkakahiga si Ellaine nang marinig niyang tumunog ang kaniyang cellphone. Dali-dali niya itong kinuha at sinagot.
"Hello?", bungad nito.
"Magandang umaga, Bb. Aurella!", bati ni G. Renato Lantigao sa kabilang linya. Siya ang propesor ng dalaga sa asignaturang Filipino. " Tila hindi mo napansin ang aking pinadalang mensahe kagabi."
Dali-daling hinanap ni Ellaine ang mensaheng pinadala ng propesor. Agad na namilog ang kaniyang mga mapupungay na mata nang mabasa niya ito. "Pasensiya na po, Ginoo! Maaga po akong dinalaw ng antok kagabi kaya't hindi ko na nabasa ang inyong mensahe. Gayunpaman, sisikapin ko pong makarating diyan sa inyong opisina sa itinakdang oras."
"Magaling! Ako'y maghihintay sa iyong pagdating, Binibini. Magpaganda ka ha?", namamagaw at tila nangingiliting turan nito.
Agad na ibinaba ni Ellaine ang telepono nang marinig niya ang huling sinabi ng propesor. Sa hindi maipaliwanang na dahila'y biglang nagsitayuan ang kaniyang mga balahibo at ang kaba na kaniyang nararamdama'y 'di mapawi. Gayunpaman, sinikap ni Ellaine na 'wag magpapaapekto sa naging kilos ng propesor. Agad niyang inayos ang kaniyang sarili saka tumungo sa kanilang kampus.

"Hindi ba't sinabi ko na magpaganda ka?"
Hindi maitago ni Ellaine ang pangamba na ngayo'y sinasakop na ang kaniyang kabuuan subalit pinilit niyang huwag itong ipahalata. "G-g-ginoo, ako'y pumarito lamang upang kunin ang mga dokumentong kailangan para sa pagtatanghal na aking gagawin sa inyong asignatura. Iyon lamang po ang aking sadya sapagkat iyon lamang din ang inyong tinuran mula sa mensaheng ipinadala."
Ngumiti ito na tila kumbinsido sa tinuran ni Ellaine. Agad siyang tumayo saka lumapit sa kinatagayuan ng dalaga. "Magaling! Magaling! Subalit ibibigay ko lamang ang mga kailangan mo sa isang kondisyon.", ma-awtoridad na turan ng propesor.
"A-ano p-pong k-ko-kondisyon?", nauutal na tanong ng dalaga.
Nagpalakad-lakad ang propesor mula harap hanggang sa likod ni Ellaine. Dahan-dahan itong lumapit saka biglang hinapit ang baywang ng dalaga. Sa kaloob-looba'y nais manlaban ni Ellaine subalit ng mga ora's na iyo'y tila hindi niya maigalaw ang kaniyang katawan.
"Kahit isang oras lang, Binibini. Mabilisan subalit mabagsik ang ating magiging eksena.", nang-aakit na bulong nito sa dalaga. "Huwag kang mag-alala, walang ibang makakaalam nito."
Pilit kinakalma ni Ellaine ang kaniyang sarili at hindi ipinapahalata sa kaniyang propesor ang takot na bumabalot sa kaniya. Huminga siya nang malalim saka pormal na hinarap ang propesor. "Ginoo, paumanhin ngunit ang lubos na ipinagbabawal ang iyong nais. At hindi rin ako papayag. Kung ipipilit ninyo ang inyong nais ay mapipilitan din akong magsumbong sa kinauukulan."
Sabay kuyom ng kamaong lumapit ang propesor sa dalaga. Mahigpit na hinawakan sa braso't ginawaran ng matalim ba tingin. "Subukan mong magsumbong. Subukan mo't makikita mo ang bagsik ko. Tandaan mo, may posisyon ako, estudyante ka lang. ESTUDYANTE LANG KAYO."
Halos hindi makahinga si Ellaine dahil sa kaba at takot na kanina pang bumabalot sa kanya. Gustuhin man niyang magsalita ay hindi na rin niya magawa sa takot na baka mas magalit pa ang propesor.
"Sa oras na tanggihan mo ang alok ko ay lahat kayo ay babagsak sa klase ko. Nanamnamin niyo ang singko. At pagdating ng buwan ng Marso ay lahat kayo'y maglalaway habang pinapanood ang mga estudyanteng nagpapaso. Mag-isip ka, Binibini. Mag-isip ka. Ngayon ay papapiliin kita, baliktaran o markang pulahan?", seryosong sambit ng propesor. Kagat labi't pikit ang mata ng dalaga habang nag-iisip. " At dahil propesor ako, kayang-kaya kong baliktarin ang lahat. Ikaw ang sisisihin nila sa oras na bumagsak sila sa subject ko.", singit pa ng propesor.
Maya-maya'y may biglang kumatok sa pintuan kaya't napahinto sa pagsasalita ang propesor. Bumuga ito ng isang malalim na hininga saka hinapit papalapit si Ellaine. "Pag-isipan mo ang mga sinabi ko, Binibini.", bulong nito saka tinulak patungo sa harap ng pintuan.
Tila naging normal ang lahat nang binuksan ni Ellaine ang pintuan at bumungad doon ang isang estudyanteng taga-ibang departamento.

How to take Good Landscape Photography
Good maps of the place is necessary while heading out for landscape shoots in newer locations. OS maps help in enabling to plan the route, for elevation work out most often in mountain peaks, scenic spots and to plan the trail or road to reach and the vantage position to be photographed from.

Some amateur photographers are comfortable shooting in JPEG’s. But it is best to capture landscapes using RAW settings in the camera as it contains more ‘information’. This helps in increasing or decreasing the exposure or in enhancing the colors and tones in a similar RAW software or Adobe camera without making any compromise on quality. Most often landscapes are shot in low light, with slow shutter speeds and hand held without camera being shaken. But for best results it is essential to use a tripod.
Landscape capturing depends on how well the light is used. It should not only be shot at a right time in a day but in right time of the year. Best shots are captured during the sunrise in early morning or during the sunsets in late evening, producing a softer, colorful light with long shadows giving landscape shots extra dimension and depth.
Sample shots can be taken with hand held cameras by moving around and kneeling down, getting high and low to get a best spot for a balanced and good composition of background and foreground elements. For successful and a sharp landscape picture, it is necessary to ensure that the entire scene is focused from front till the back. To get this depth, it is essential to use a narrow aperture, then focusing one-third into scene to make sure that the pictures are sharp from foreground till the horizon.
Always in landscape photography it is better to use the camera’s manual autofocus, as the auto-point selection focuses only on the closest objects, not ideal in shooting landscapes.

For direct family members: mother, father, sister, brother, etc. , explain how wonderful the person was and some of the great memories you have of him or them: Phil loved when he spoke of you, and I know it meant a lot to him that you were there. Finally, invite them to come over, call, e-mail etc. Feel free to call or e-mail me, I'd love to reminisce or just talk.

The last but the not the least is that open communication. If you are able to tell your partner everything without he or she being upset about anything you say that means you are definitely in a good long term relationship

Memories Haunt
Do memories can haunt us?
Yes, they do, especially those which leave a scar on your memory lane forever. Though I refrain from peeping through the window of the past, at times one feels so helpless. These memories flashback like a movie and take you on a detour for hours and hours.
My detour of these haunting memories is quite painful. Every time I go on this detour my mind and heart ache and I smolder in the feelings of self-pity. I no longer want to be part of this agonizing journey anymore. I want a relief, which seems so remote now.
I always wonder, how the person whose presence once illuminated your memory lane can become so vulnerable as to haunt your memories forever. There is a logical reply that when we let a person get control of our heart, we give him all the reasons to use it the way he likes; either save it or break it. Since I provided him all the means to access my heart, he got the legal right to smash it the way he desired.
Elegant, inspirational and attractive are the qualities that would strike my mind whenever I would meet him. There was a magnetic touch in his personality that would pull my heart towards its magnetic influence. In the beginning, I considered this sudden attraction as a sort of idealistic impact that one has while admiring someone. However, within a short period, it was embarked upon me that it's something deeper than the superficial feelings of considering someone your ideal or inspiration.
Soon I entered the phase which is considered by the poets and the romanticists as the most alluring and soothing phase of one's life; LOVE! During this phase one soars like a bird and feel the fragrance of fresh flowers around oneself. You seem to be entangled in the seven colours of a colourful rainbow. You feel the presence of your love with every beat of your heart. This consoles your heart and mind like the cool soothing wind or the cool splashing waves of the ocean.
To my astonishment, in this phase of love, your memories are so refreshing. They shelter you to take refuge from the rest of the world and remain fettered in the unseen chains of your love.
Nothing in this world remains forever. Everything is meant to decay. So how could my memories give me this pleasing relief forever? Very soon all the favourable quotes, sayings and words about love became fake. Love no longer seemed an angel consoling my heart but appeared like a ferocious monster that is ready to engulf and devour me, loosening and tightening its grip around my neck, keeping me suspended between life and death.
He walked away, leaving me to drown into the deep grey sea of melancholy, where the sharp, razor teeth memories were ready to tear me apart forever. Ever since then I am tormented by the memories of that so-called phase of love that haunts me with every passing breath.
Managing Your Portfolio with CoinGecko: A How-To Guide
Introduction
Given the speed with which the crypto-industry seems to develop and evolve it should come as no surprise that there are quite a few coin/tokens out there to choose from, each with their own purpose jostling for position. However, when looking at CoinGecko's list of all coins I'll admit I was amazed to find (after repeatedly clicking "Show More" and scrolling down for what seem an age) there were a staggering 5902 listed! So with all this choice, and a multitude of airdrops/mining/stake/farming/interest/faucets/trading and other ways to earn coins it is easy to see how most of us end up with a coin count easily stretching into the double digits. I myself am sitting around 30 different coins/tokens but I know for a few others on this platform that number is double, if not triple. https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/all
With so many coins/tokens, managing to get a handle on balances is a very real issue. A few months ago on this platform an author (forgive me for forgetting who) shared and excellent google sheets script that plugs into CoinGecko's API to lift out prices and allow users to create a spreadsheet for managing their balances. I for one have been using a modified version of that since then and have found it to be an excellent resource. That said this is still a very manual process and if you want look at any trading/changing of value over time you need to put together another spreadsheet to track your progress and snapshot values over time.
Imagine my joy when, while browsing token information on CoinGecko, I spotted a neat portfolio feature with a little red 'New' tag attached to it. It seems like the CoinGecko team heard our plight and have begun developing features to help making managing a portfolio and tracking trades much easier on us. In this article we'll take a look at how to set-up and use this new feature.
Setup
When you click on Portfolio you'll first be prompted to sign in. or sign up The signup requirements are relatively low, needing just an email address and the email to be verified.
If you don't have an account already go ahead and get one, you need it for this feature but also it means you can collect candies on a daily basis, which you can trade in their shop for some decent discounts, swag and general crypto-stuff.
Once signed up and logged you'll be faced with the following portfolio home screen, this is setup complete (easy as pie).
How-To
Right so once on the home screen it is now time to start looking at adding funds to our portfolio. Click on the "Add New Coin" green button top right (image above). From there you'll be presented with a search bar as below. Just look for the token you're wanting to add by the ticker ID and select it from the list.
Once selected you'll be taken back to the main screen where you'll see some summary info. Note in the image below everything left of the red highlighted section is the standard market summary information. Those items in the box refer to you current holdings (if any) as well as the actions. Since we've just added the coin we haven't entered the holdings value yet so lets move on to that.
Click on the plus (+) sign to open up the actions window. From here we have three tabs (below):
1 - Buy, for adding completed buy transactions
2 - Sell, for adding completed sell transactions
3 - Transfer, for applying transfer (in and out) transactions
Since we're populating this for the first time I'd recommend the transfer option. Complete the relevant information for your holdings then click on the "Fees & Notes" section. For this sections I've added a little text to describe the transaction, this is also where (if you'd transferred/bought or sold funds) you can add any fees that were paid. It can be particularly useful as it saves you accounting for the fee in the quantity field. Once completed hit "Submit".
With the first coin funds added you'll be taken to the main portfolio where you should now be able to see both the overall holdings amount and relative change for the last 24 hours. On this screen as well we can see the holding section now shows the balance for the coin added. That is it, one down and plenty to go, from there it is a case of adding all other coins/tokens you currently hold.
With them all added, if you need to make any additional updates/transactions click on the eye icon under the "Action" section to see the holding detailed view for that coin/token (inclusive of transaction history). You can then add new transactions form the top right as well as amend/remove existing transactions. Finally, if you add a token by accident then want to remove it just click on the yellow start at the far left (show in the image above). This will then ask for confirmation before removing the coin/token from your portfolio list.
So that is it, a whistle stop tour through setup and adding tokens/transactions. The platform is reasonable intuitive so I'm sure you'll be up an running with a complete portfolio in no time.

Well done, and thanks, to the CoinGecko team for putting it together I've personally started to use this as a quick tracker and can imagine that some of the other authors on this platform will definitely find it a hand way of tracking transactions and overall portfolio performance.
For the current functionality I would say there are a few gaps or possible updates I think the CoinGecko team could make to get the most out of this and really take it from 'handy' to 'indispensable'.
Mass Upload- It would be good to have a mass upload feature for a CSV file to get all your startup funds in quickly
Mass Download - Again a download of all the holdings/transaction, perhaps even with historic price data would be really great if folks want to do some additional analysis of their portfolio and/or trade performance
Alternative Buy/Sell options - Currently when you put in a buy/sell transaction you need to know the unit price you paid (fiat). This can be a little tricky if you're doing token-token trades/swaps. I've found in these instances I end up just putting a transfer out of one and transfer in for the other
Multiple Completion - What I mean be this is that if you wanted update a few things at once it could probably be done on a line by line basis for the whole portfolio to save on clicking between screens (guess this is just a nice to have)
Finally charts and graphs - I love a bit of data visualization so some nice charts for holdings like pies for the whole amount, whole portfolio tracking over time, maybe even allow for a deeper dive on some items by allowing selection of known sub-groups of tokens (DeFi, ERC20, BEP2 etc.)
I hope that after reading this you take a few minutes to look at the tool yourself and see if it works for managing your own portfolio. City Vs Province at the time of the pandemic
many want to live in the city because of the extent of its axis of things. Just like the beautiful sights, malls, eateries, cinemas, easy transportation and much more. but don't you know that living in the province is quieter and happier? especially during this time of pandemic, it is much better to live in the province than in the city,want to know why?
****Let us discuss three reasons for this****
****1. OBSERVING SOCIAL DISTANCING AGAINST THE SPREAD OF COVID 19****
Due to the much smaller number of people in the province compared to the city, it is easier to implement social distance. if we notice the virus spreads more easily in the city than in areas outside the cities.in the city there are many malls and grocery stores in which so many people flock because of the so-called panic buying on the other hand panic buying is not very popular in the province because most of the people who live here still come from remote areas, have their own land unlike the city which often relies on market vendors, groceries and malls so it is inevitable to violate social distance due to the large number of people.
****2. PRODUCTIVITY****
Now that we are in the midst of pandemic, one of the mandates of the health department and the whole government is to stay inside the house and avoid to go anywhere because of the virus.In the city, because there are so many people and the strict implementation of the protocol, there is nothing that people can do but follow and mumble in the four corners of their respective homes. Eating, watching tv and sleeping are often done by most, especially the minors who are unable to go out to go to their favorite sights such as parks, malls, eateries and other places featured in the cities.In the province, meanwhile, because the places are not very civilized compared to the cities where there are only a few establishments and places to go, people are forced to think of alternative things to entertain their homes and reduce boredom throughout the day.
This is where agriculture comes in, as in the province there are many vacant lands that can be cultivated that's why, so many people are enticed to enter agriculture where they grow vegetables and fruits in vacant lands near their homes and raising of animals such as chickens, pigs and others for their entertainment during the pandemic that eventually help to meet the daily needs of the people and then the people sell the surplus of their crops for extra money. In other words, those in the province are much more productive because their activities are less limited than those in the city which are severely affected by the pandemic.
****3. DEALING WITH DAILY NEEDS****
When it comes in dealing with daily needs, it's obviously, that those in the city are much affected by this pandemic since most of the residents here rely only on buying food to be found in the markets and grocery stores, add to this that every home is also running out of money due to lack of source of income due to this crisis we are facing now.On the other hand, those in the province even though they are a little short of money but they can work out a way to sustain their daily needs by raising and caring of animals and planting of vegetables and fruits so that they can support themselves on a daily basis. This is something that the city is not able to practice well due to lack of space and resources.
*In totality, the people living in the mountains or provinces have a better chance of surviving the pandemic compared to the people living in the city. because in the province there is still the existence of natural resources provided by our nature that have long disappeared in cities due to the modernization.*

My Bestfriend, My hero
His name is Gappy... he is my Bestfriend since i was 11 years old (9yrs ago) til now. We we're so much close to each other and we loved each other. Until last day (sept 18) I've got involved in a car accident. I would have been run over by a car but he saved me. He run and push me from the side to save me and he did sacrifice his life for me. We immediately bring him to the nearest veterinary clinic but he didn't make it... He's gone. He left me 😞
So for those who have their best friend (pet) please love them and show them how lucky you are to have them... cherish all the moment you have with them because we cannot figure out when it will last.
