Travel Destination Unknown (Poems #6)
Travel Destination Unknown Here we are in our little VW van which is like the Tardis inside it holds a lot, Don't worry that we may not get to you our driver hasn't yet once forgot, You're on our list for picking up there's plenty of others here already aboard, Can't wait to have you join us as nobody will be lost or ever ignored. Bring your passport and a few changes of clothes but not the whole wardrobe, You'll find we're travelling far and wide bring a passport for we ride the globe, There's lots of different languages and ages too but we're all young at heart, The main reason we want you along is you've longed to explore from the start. Don't about a carbon footprint worry when it's shared by hundreds it's okay, One little van along old roads we just hope that the suspension lasts the day, And when there's things we like to see we're forever stopping to have a rest, You're with friends in here and the shared cost of fuel is what makes it best. We're driving along roads and highways or as often on dusty forgotten tracks, Don't worry about problems as we've got hundreds who've all got our backs, And the driver doubles as a tour guide and he speaks every language there is, He claimed he's God but we're not really sure but he's adamant in this. He calls the van "Life's Pick Up Truck" and always seems to know where to be, We're all on a great adventure and you won't believe the lovely sights you see, I died and went to Heaven but I'm happy I've never quite got there as yet, I'm having too much fun in the van with people I will never want to forget.
