A Precarious Situation (Poems #5)
A Precarious Situation You're balanced on the edge of Life hoping you don't fall away, Not sure you can survive the next few minutes let alone the rest of the day, Worn out, feeling beaten about and might even resort to having to pray. Take a moment to count to ten and breathe it will help you, Calm yourself so shut your eyes and shut the world out as you do, Slow and steady, breathe in deep hold ready, then out as you let it through. Give your brain oxygen and your game time to right itself first, After and your you can react with a slower, heartbeat that's not so fit to burst, Keep focussed or calm, don't spread alarm, for a neat solution have a thirst. You're a boulder teetering on a cliff edge and ready to roll, So prop yourself or lean on others and make that the immediate goal, Don't try to be clever, in stress it works hardly ever, had as you'll dig a bigger hole. As realise that you lasted that half hour give yourself a pat on the back, Maybe the next or the one after that may get you back on track, Smile at your success, you're not such a mess, relax you're not under attack.
